Gentlemen (ll)

Are you intimidated by successful women?

Does it depend on whether they’re more or less successful than you?

PS: Someone please recommend a nice movie to watch, I’m bored to death.

Re: Gentlemen (ll)

a successful woman is a turn on hehe. And no it doesnt depend on anything. For me to see a woman utilizing her education to great use and making a name for herself is something to admire.

and movie, umm harry potter, adjustment bureau, source code...

Re: Gentlemen (ll)

I personally wouldn't be intimidated as I am self-assured.

To recommend a movie we would need to know your taste, otherwise the movie might not be nice.

Re: Gentlemen (ll)

I think that being intimidated would true for men who aren't self-confident.

You've just got to let her know who's boss.

@Gidsa: Haww haye, come back here you! :bailan:

Cutefifa, yeah let’s add some masala in this thread to keep us entertained. Are MILs intimidated by successful bahus? (edumucated isn’t the same as successful .. like professionally)… discuss… rather diss and cuss :khumar:

Re: Gentlemen (ll)

Depends if she is really successful.

In cooking, cleaning or spotless laundry. Yes I would be.
Me be impressed!

JK

Well, two successful are better than one, innit?

So why be intimidated?

Re: Gentlemen (ll)

if she is succeful and not conceited, i'll have NO reason for me to be intimidated. i hate men and women who boast their position. being down-to-earth is an asset not many posses :)

Re: Gentlemen (ll)

no way, I actually would want my wife to be more successful.

Re: Gentlemen (ll)

Sidney Sheldon’s Windmill of Gods. If you can’t find the movie you can read the book.

Re: Gentlemen (ll)

Then try God father trilogy!!

Re: Gentlemen (ll)

You lie. There will come a point where if she might break barriers of success that you couldn't it would very much hurt you mens ego. Quite naturally ofcourse :P

Re: Gentlemen (ll)

what about "insidious" or "vanishing on 7th street" (this had ajeeb ending)

Re: Gentlemen (ll)

Thank you for the movie suggestions everyone, I’m watching the burma conspiracy .. and I’ll stop talking about movies before the mods kick my ask :@:

Yeah what sweefa said… I’m pretty sure deep down it would make you feel… weird :hmmm:

Somebodycall911, that wasn’t very nice of you.

Re: Gentlemen (ll)

Any man who is intimidated by successful women, needs to check his gems at the door. Just saying!

Movies: The Jacket (watched it last night, it was great), The big lebowski (My SO can't stop quoting the movie, so I'm assuming it's good), Shutter Island, The prestige (One of my all time favorites), The life of David Gale (Amazing movie).

Re: Gentlemen (ll)

If a woman belongs to a different field, then her success is not a problem for me because there can't be a comparison between people belonging to different fields.

But I will definitely feel jealous if I see a more successful woman doing the exact same job as me, although I have yet to see that :)

Movie suggestion: Public enemies (2009)

Re: Gentlemen (ll)

ennnhhh … dont go the by the pc answers on here!
easy to talk the talk …
vast majority of men (regardless of ethnicity) run the other way when faced with a “successful woman” … they just like to hide the real reason behind explanations alike

  • she wont have time for me
-she wont have time for kids
    -she is too vocal/agressive
    -she is too maadraaan

etc …
you get the gist …

movie: have you seen the red violin. Its old but haunting.
others that came to mind … Lincoln lawyer (crime drama), King’s speech

Re: Gentlemen (ll)

we watched Knight and Day last night. cheesy but funny and full of entertainment.

Re: Gentlemen (ll)
