Re: Gender-wise population in Pakistan?

At least 1% men can have 2 wives to keep the balance.

Re: Gender-wise population in Pakistan?

And what percent actually do have 2 + wives?

Re: Gender-wise population in Pakistan?

Local residents (living in Pak) less than 1%, and in Pakistanis living aboard, it may be more than 30% at least. In Pakistan polygamy only exist amongst tribal areas and in some rural areas. In cities it is quite rare to encounter it.

Re: Gender-wise population in Pakistan?

lol@30%… ok, let’s go one step further, how many of the second wives know about the first and visa versa

Umer  you can be my squeeze in another country, since I don’t get on airplanes or travel very far, it would have to be in name only, but still

Re: Gender-wise population in Pakistan?

In most cases none, unless they can face each other some how.

But as time is passing out, things are changing, some (most 1st wives and some 2nd wives) are told of it and reasons may be different.

Re: Gender-wise population in Pakistan?

30%? My friend I think you are extremely exaggerting here.

Re: Gender-wise population in Pakistan?

I am quite moderate with 30%. This ratio includes contract-marriages. In some countries, the ratio may be even higher.

Re: Gender-wise population in Pakistan?

Lets have a poll.
To Boys: Who wants to marry twice?
To Girls: Who would allow her hubby to marry again?

Re: Gender-wise population in Pakistan?

Not a bad idea.

Re: Gender-wise population in Pakistan?

Yeah, but a pole wont give you percentages that correspond to the actual Pakistani population worldwide. The percentage of Pakistani idiots is higher off this website.

A lot of people come on this website and get scared by the big words.

Re: Gender-wise population in Pakistan?

The information is from CIA fact book, I guess. Population is not measured in Pakistan for long. This information is based on hospital records plus estimation.

Re: Gender-wise population in Pakistan?

^^ Bhaijan I dont know anything about Culinary Institute of America. I just googled and this came up. I tried it again and now it doesn't work. It must be the mossad

Re: Gender-wise population in Pakistan?

ideal ratio would be 20% men to 80%women..so that every man can enjoy his god-given right of 4 women..

Re: Gender-wise population in Pakistan?

^^ :hehe: Dada of two is a talking.

Re: Gender-wise population in Pakistan?

I was just trying to make my point...... :D
Even when all people will retain 4 wives, I will love to be amongst those rare singles. Population is not measured in Pakistan, India and many other countries for long. CIA factbook is just a sort of encyclopedia about countries....has nothing much to do with CIA.

Re: Gender-wise population in Pakistan?

^ there is a 2001 census on population available in India. A detail discription on the population and growth of populatio can be obtained from

Re: Gender-wise population in Pakistan?

^ We're talking about Pakistan, not India. Thanks.
