Gender Dreams

I guess it seems weird that I would start a thread in this forum since I am neither married nor have kids. But the thread was inspired by Nnabid’s blog.

How many of you, either before your pregnancy or during it, had a dream/s about the gender of your child? Did your dream end up coming true or was it the opposite of what you dreamt?

Or did a family member have a dream about your child’s gender that ended up coming true?

Whenever I see a dream where I have a child, it’s usually been a boy…although I’m more partial to girls.

Re: Gender Dreams

With my first I dreamed of having a boy. I ended up having a girl
I don’t think there’s anything to it. When you’re pregnant you think of baby quite a lot and before you find out you wonder about the gender of the baby … so it’s only natural for you to dream about it too.

Re: Gender Dreams

My friend dreamt her sister was having a boy, and it turned out true.

With my first I had many nightmares with a boy in them. Every one around me used to say I would have a boy. I ended up having a girl instead.

This time around I haven’t had any dreams with any baby in them. People around me tell me I am having a boy & I just shrug them off thinking sure only if our intuitions were as good as we think they are.

Re: Gender Dreams

@RV … Well there is a 50/50 chance so I’m not surprised :cb:
Although … my phupho swears that her gender revealing dreams have always been true :hmmm:

Re: Gender Dreams

They say that some dreams have opposite interpretations. For instance, laughing in a dream means sorrow. Death in a dream means having a long life. Loosing teeth, which is a common dream and one that produces anxiety, means having a long life. So, it could be that the dreams you two saw simply had opposite interpretations.

Re: Gender Dreams

^I often dream about me and my other half and we’re always happy + loved up.. does that mean we’re going to end up divorced :hmmm:

I had a dream that i would have a baby boy. I ended up having a son.

Re: Gender Dreams

I recently had a dream that I just found out I was having another boy…and in the dream I was crying because I wanted a girl. In reality I do want a girl now and I would be sad if I have another boy…but I am not ever pregnant right now

Re: Gender Dreams

Congratulation!!!

Re: Gender Dreams

Not necessarily. I didn’t say all dreams have opposite interpretations. Smiling in a dream has a more positive interpretation than laughing. You can look up your dreams or study the subject from an Islamic point of view.

It’s said that true dreams are a fractions of nabuwat and as the Day of Judgment draws nearer, people’s will see their dreams manifest in real life…of course there are factors to take into consideration…and that can’t be said for all dreams as some are from Allah and some from nafs/shaitan.

Thank you

Re: Gender Dreams

Re: Gender Dreams

Re: Gender Dreams

I had many dreams once pregnant that I was having a boy and the same with the second pregnancy that I was having a girl both times it was true for me.

Re: Gender Dreams

it is kinda hard to say if a newborn baby is boy or girl. unless your dreams have no diapers hmm. just a thought.

Re: Gender Dreams

For both my pregnancies I had a dream about the gender which was true as opposed to my instinct both times.. Do yep mothers instinct didn’t work for me but dream did.
