I never used the word woman in my post. Whats with all the insecurity and hue and cry all over the thread?

Your wrong. Hiring more women doesn’t mean employing any random woman you see on the street just because she’s a woman. It means that from lets say a choice of two equally skilled, educated and experienced candidates but where one is a man and the other a woman, companies are more likely to employ the woman.

Call it positive discrimination if you wish.

you say it ‘means giving equal chance to two equal persons’.

Now are you saying what the purpose of gender balance is, or are you saying thats how it actually works in the organizations?
