Jerusalem, Oct 17. (PTI): Israel launched a new incursion in the Rafah refugee camp in the southern Gaza Strip today for what the army said is an operation to search for tunnels being used to smuggle arms from Egypt and to hunt down Palestinian militants.
Israeli troops came under fire from automatic weapons and rocket-propelled grenades during the incursion, but there were no casualties.
Palestinians earlier fired seven rockets into a Jewish settlement in the region, damaging a house and several vehicles.

Palestine was never a country to begin with.
Israel was created on areas which had a jewish majority but the Arabs attacked it in 1948. Israel fought back and took over more land and the Palestinians fled with the fleeing Arab forces. In 1949, the Green Line Borders was roughly the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
Jordan ruled West Bank and Egypt ruled Gaza. Neither of these countries gave the palestinians their country but used them as a battering ram agaisnt Israel.
They attacked Israel again in 1967 and again the Palestinian people paid the price.
Now, Israel has to take the preemptive step. It has to dis-mantle its settlements, get out of West Bank and divide Jerusalem. It also has to stop controlling the borders of Gaza and West Bank.
Israeli fear which is quite legitimate that if it withdraws from West Bank, it will only bring terrorists closer to its cities so that they can fire Qassam rockets into Tel Aviv airport which is only 10km from West Bank.
Israel should give the Palestinians a very simple ultimatum. We are going to get out of West Bank but if these rockets attack continue, we will re-occupy the West Bank and put the onus on Jordan and Egypt to prevent these terrorist groups from firing on Israel.

Zionists are fearful because they know their occupation and expulsion of original people of Palestine is immoral and illegal.
With all the odds against them, Hamas still does not accept Israel's existence. Even if under intense pressure Palestinians do accept it, it will be only for a time being. The Palestinian resistance is only going to increase.
Another thing Zionists fear is casualties. They run away from the battle ground as soon as 10 of their comrades are sent to Hell.

The Zionists came after Israel was created in 1949. Before that most of the Jews living in that area were there since the time of the Romans. They created their own country just as Christians got Lebanon, Hashmites got Jordan, etc…

^^ The settlements were always a bargaining chip. Any settlements left in the Sinai or Gaza? The Israelis expected a quick peace like the Sinai, not decades of conflict. Arafat held on to power through perpetuating conflict. Peace would have meant King Arafat would have to improve employment, collect taxes, and hold elections. Blaming the Israelis for everything has simply become a way of life for every explaining every flaw in Palestinian society.
Palestinian violence? Like killing Olympic atheletes? Hijacking cruiseliners and airliners? Who would want these people as neighbors? They could not build an "apartheid wall" tall enough.....
