as far as what I have seen in pakistan, alot of prominent makeup artists, fashion designers and celebrities are gay. as a matter of fact, most of the top designers are gay males in pakistan. I guess God has blessed them with creativity and art.

But he was not shown as a practicing gay. He was an effeminate character. There is a difference between being effeminate and being gay. Wadood’s character never asked to marry a guy. In fact he claimed ‘I’m pure mard’

No, west is just more openly gay as it’s better tolerated here. East is just as gay but don’t come out and be proud about it. if you look at red light districts in pakistan, you will come across just as many male/transgender prostitutes as females, if not more. who’s using ‘transgender’ prostitutes? not heterosexual men, it’s either bi or homosexual menwho ‘use’ them. so many hijras/khusra/transgender do prostitution on the side, along with singing and dancing at weddings. whos having sex with them? certainly not straight guys.

Do they have separate culture? I mean is culture vary from gender to gender.. from one sex orientation to another.. Can we classify a particular event / festival as gay or straight? any example? Is basant a straight or gay festival?

I agree about this info.

My point is gayness is equal opportunity employer throughout the world.
Saying that this country or that country is top in searching gay sites seems made up and faulty.
Such ‘statistics’ are mostly used in arguments as authentic info to prove points and I don’t agree with that.
