What people are saying here that if there are two bad options choose one which will take the chance away from kids growing in better place. There will still be a chance for the kids to be adopted by 'normal' family without mental confusion if they stay in orphanage. Sure they will have less to eat but at least they will be away from other psychological conflicts.
So efforts should be made to help orphan kids and orphanage rather than throwing these kids in to a place where they will grow with unusual skewed place and situations. This way their freedom to grow in otherwise normal family will be taken away. its nothing to do with how rich or wealthy they are. Chances are that their emotions will be mutilated. They will have doubt in getting hetero-sexual relation or will be forced to accept the homosexual behavior.
It is like lets get all little girls live with older sick minded but rich men for the sake of satisfaction of these old men. At least girls will be out of orphanage or poor families!!
Asking for an ideal situation and putting condition difficult to be met (lets all orphans be adopted by straight people) cannot be an excuse for another wrong thing to do.
