I just filled up my car, while I was filling it up it jump 31 cents to $3.49, the Tuesday before memorial day weekend. $4.00 by Thursday?

You'll have to take a look on your lunch break and see what type of bump your area took (if any). I know this area is more because of refinery issues. Bragging about $3.00 per/gallon, good times.

the cheapest one was 3.09 yesterday at a relatively lower priced gas station. Didn't bother looking today.

Back in 97 it had dropped to below a dollar and people were buying SUVs like crazy.
I imagine an SUV takes around $90 to fill up. That's a lot of money!

Are you kidding me? I’ve gone over 100 on couple of times without any problem. on the flip side, I’d actually like to have a car that won’t go over, say, 85 mph just to be on the safe side.

It was $3.59 when I stopped earlier today, and I spent over $70 filling up our minivan. I couldn't believe it! I don't remember gas ever being this high before. What do you think it will take to get people to reconsider their driving habits? We are rethinking our driving habits, but the oldest starts driver's ed this summer and is asking for a car.

Try fitting 4 kids, soccer gear, hockey gear, and the odd musical instrument into anything smaller than a minivan - not to mention the copious amounts of food it takes to feed a teenage boy. By the way, has anyone seen the price of milk lately? It’s up to $3.50 a gallon at Meijer!
