it is getting worse by hour. first it was 20 then 60 , this morning it was 100 and now about 200. may god help us.
this has to be the worst industrial disaster in pakistan.
btw the company which employs that many people should be big and should have a name? why arent they reporting the name of the company?
we know whats going to happen, committee will be formed, empty shallow promises will be made ... but not a single culprit will be brought to justice....
It seems to be a big disaster. The problem that we have in Pakistan is that importance is not given to the safety of employees, there'd be many illegal factories operating in the country as well. This should serve as an eye opener for all the concerned authorities like the local council, building department and other inspectors.
The factory had only one exit (it should have had more than one exits), alarm systems, all the staff should have been trained what to do in case of emergency, and the assembly points. But these are the least of the worries for the factory owners in the country.
Talking about an eye opener and pakistan in one sentence .... Ali Syed yaar we both (and the rest on GS) know how much is learned from disasters of the last decade .... NOTHING
2005 Earth Quakes .... PPL still suffering
2010 Floods ..... PPL still suffering
Nothing will change unfortunatly :(
Insaniyyat ki koi qadr baqi nahi reh gaee :(
Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un ..... May Allah SWT grant the deceased Jannat-ul-Firdoos. Ameen.
My heartfelt condolences to the loved ones of those who died
^ I know bro, every department is super corrupt, although this should have been identified during the establishment of the factory and I believe inspections should ideally have been carried out in the factory during the past few years.
^ I agree, but the situation is worse in Third World countries where corruption is rife, no checks and balances and no legislation for the health and safety of staff.
