What I got from the discussion is that Some1 is approving discarding of Ganguly because he was added in team due to biased selection committee, now that committee (or specific people) has been sacked its okay to discard Ganguly, while FnB is saying that previous committee added him due to biased views/politics, new committee has gone overboard perhaps to prove that they are not biased and discarded Ganguly when he was in fine form.

Gangu is not in FINE FORM…no one can say this from 2 scores of 39 and 40 .

How hard is it to tell that a player deserves to be dropped when the opposing team fans want him to play.

indian selection commitee is sacking ganguly to just sack him because of the politics, he is slowly regaining form. if they were really sincere they would do it on basis of rise of yuvraj. but ganguly is deffineltly being treated like crap!

Lately I have started feeling bad for Ganguly . Poor guy is eligible to get a ceremonious exit. He served Indian cricket for long time and a good captain.

Indians are just like us Pakistanis. Our players don’t want to retire and we never give ceremonious exits to our greats

Well honestly i felt pity fo Saurav. He need not have been picked at all-. And then when he got a decent score.. he was dropped. . May be the change of quota system reflected in his being picked and finally being dropped.
it is really strange how the slection procedure works in India.

It is issue of much more than ceremonious exit. They guy has performed when we gave him chance. It is very easy to criticize just looking at score card. He batted in tough canditions and scored in both inning unlike many others who failed in atleast one inning. His foot work against Murali was good. Vass didnot trouble him at all. He was unlucky to not make big score in both innings.

Good news for my Pak friends.

From the looks of things, Ganguly is all set to be picked for the Pak tour.

His current dropping appears to have turned into a blessing in disguise for him. He has not only managed to generate a "sympathy wave" in some quarters but it appears his exclusion will now be discussed in the Lok Sabha ( can it get more ridiculous than this).

So in all likelihood , he will be rehabilitated.

His earth-shaking innings of 40 and 39...must count for something I guess.

ps> I think (out of respect for his greatness) Ganguly should also be given back his CAPTAINCY..and while they are at it ..also make Ajit Agarkar the VICE-CAPTAIN of the team.
