This movie was just spectacular. I am proud to say one of the best movies, I have ever seen in my life. Leonardo DiCaprio and Daniel Day-Lewis give beautiful performances. Scorcese has introduced this complete new film genre… This guy is simply a genious.

I am just surprised that this movie hasn’t gotten the publicity it deserves. I am sure that atleast Daniel will be nominated for an oscar for his performance. The sets are just spectacular. The fighting is filmed magnificiently. The music by U2 is mind blowing.

Last but not least Cameron Diaz gives an excellent performace too!

This movie gets 10/10 from me. Honestly I didnt expect this movie to be so great! Its definitely a must watch!

Alibeta, I agree.....it is certainly one of the best films I have seen for a long time. Plus the soundtrack is fantastic too.

Daniel Day Lewis is a top actor but Dicaprio is a bit of a nerk. Scorcese can sometimes put out a real winner so I might give this one a try.

By the Rolling stones, maid in manhattan is by far the best picture lol..point is every movie is being exagerrated by the media..

I wont be surprised to see the cast in that movie getting oscar nomination.

The movie is more like an art one..I have seen many like these..

Scorsese can make the odd duff flic "Bring out your dead" but ussually hits the nail on the head when he's filimg within the genre that made his name.

I have a lot of respect for DiCaprio and understand that he went through quiet a physical transforamtion for the film, and Daniel Day Lewis is an actor, so can't really go wrong there.

I look forward to seeing it one day.

I'm glad it wasn't hyped excessively, it may just turn out to be good. Who gives a rats arse wether it'll win oscars, I just ask for something that flows and has more than one descent scene in it.

I'm not going to bother with this one. The reviews that I've read are mostly backing up my original assessment, i.e., Day Lewis: great, DiCaprio: crap. Can't imagine him doing that type of role at all.

I'll wait for it to come out on dvd.

ohh Daniel Day Lewis’ performance is AWESOME in the movie. But I do agree, there are a lot of technical faults. Poor editing. There are scenes where DiCaprio is standing and in the next, he is sitting and about to stand .. I believe the editor was drunk :hoonh: Also, poor direction! Seems like this naive director had no clue how to handle the battle scenes.

The movie looks like a copy of some indian movie. Storywise! Complete melodrama at the end :hoonh: I was disappointed!

AliB, I can't disagree more. Were someone to pay me a million bucks to watch this movie over again, I wouldn't do it.

With the amount of gore splashed all over it, I'm thinking the producers must have bought out a few blood banks atleast.

Gruesome to the point of infinity.
