First topic I’d like to discuss: Who do you think Jon Snow’s mother is?
I have my theories. I also don’t think his father is Eddard Stark.

I believe he is Lyana and Raegal targareyans kid.. but that seems to be a popular belief. I just finished with the fifth book. I must say the last 2 books
were sort of a drag! Had to force myself to read!

I have the same theory, fifz. It seems really perfect but not in a boring/obvious kind of way. Rather it complicates all the relationships in an interesting manner.
Think Dany and Jon will get married and rule together?

I don't think that's mutually exclusive. The Starks probably wouldn't mind bowing to Dany or Aegon, but you never know.

The Starks are over - all family members in a position to claim the throne are gone.
Catelyn is out for vengeance, Arya and Bran are too young, Sansa is too weak and is a pawn of Littlefinger.
Westeros is in turmoil and only the Targaryens can calm it. Aegon doesn't have the strength to hold out in Westeros, I think, so the question is one of how soon Dany will return home.....

Much of the below involves spoilers:
Jon Snow (if the above theory about his parentage is correct, which I think it is) joins both lines (ice and fire, Stark and Targaerean).
Also, Arya had chemistry with Gendry. Who knows what will happen when she comes of age. And she's off being mysterious is Braavos. But I don't think she'll necessarily want the throne.
Sansa may one day be suggested for Aegon, but I don't think he would accept her.
I'm intrigued by Jon Snow + Dany. I wouldn't be surprised if Jon Snow is mean to ride Rhaegal.
I do think one day Rickon will be a wild King in the North.

I don't think he's dead, but he's seriously wounded at least (stabbed multiple times). Though what would make an interesting twist is if he gets killed but resurrected in the same way as Beric Dondarrion was, since Melissandre and the Red Priest follow the same faith.
More likely, he will be healed by Melissandre's magic and then lead his wildlings south to Winterfell.

I don't think so, they were never suppose to have claims for the throne at least not since the last stark who submitted to Aegon the conqueror. But they still have major roles to play. Right now they are not in king's landing or winterfell but that does not mean that they can't return back.
Even if Robb is dead and what ever Jeyne's mother claims I still believe that his heir lives
Technically Jon is not a stark because of the whole R+L = Jon theory, still he has some stark blood being lyanna's son. He'll end up ruling the seven kingdoms as he's a targeryan and some where in my heart I have the feeling that GRRM is going to get rid of Dany some where during her journey as he does with all the characters who are getting near their goals.
Arya is going to be an accomplished assassin and finally getting her prayers answered i.e. the list of the people she wanted to kill or whoever is left out of them
Rickon is going to be the lord of Winterfell as Bran is now a part of children of the forest, bran however will try to help change the events going back in time as he did for theon. You know the whole back to the past and altering the events situation, which will help us understand why things happened in the older books.
Sansa can also play a role in changing the events as she has always been the only stark that uses her brains instead of going through the whole honor stuff. She lies, cheats and do whatever it takes to keep her self alive. Their is a high possibility that she will rule north until some other stark returns

I don't know martin is notorious for killing off characters so.. You never know who will be next. Someone asked him how he see's the story ending and he said in a field of graves!
Of course I am interested in knowing the origins of the others. Hopefully the next books will address that!

Yeah, Martin has said that he's a fan of bittersweet endings so expect a lot of deaths as we move to the end. Also, I read an interesting theory about...

...Cersei and Jaime. According to the prophecy that Cersei hears, her younger brother will be the one to kill her, which she assumes is Tyrion. However, a lot of fans think that this will actually be Jaime, and that he will soon die after her, following the whole "we came into this world together and we will leave it together" theme.

Agree with this. Especially the part about Robb. I still think Jeyne is hidden somewhere, pregnant with Robb's heir. I wonder how his will is going to play out, whether he's named Jon the lord of Winterfell or not.

Ooooh I like that. Especially the Cersei dying bit :p. Also I like how Jaime is the more pure and noble of the two, despite being the Kingslayer. Love his internal struggles.

^ Lol I've read threads asking fans of Cersei to defend her as best they can. They're interesting. I still hate her guts though, so their arguments were not convincing enough for me.
