Have anyone here have interest in Game Development? Well I have and I am making a thread here. This thread will discuss about Behind scenes of the Games. What Game Engines they used, the programming process and how and where they got the concept from.
More over you can also discuss about Game Development and programming on your own on following: Story writing, concept writing, Tools and Coding, modeling process, linear equations (Algebra) related to game character designs and so on.
I saw many of game lovers arround here, so now here is your chance people.
Well on Game Dev.net I assure you that none of the populer companies are on there because they found an easy going source which saved them time and money.
The people on GameDev.NET use their own made tools and open source engines (or the ready made ones which are also free there) Its a good site to start up a game career on your own.
I was coming to that later but I still need atleast 3-4 people discussing it here.
PS: This is the independent game developer. You can check out their site, its pretty interesting.
Editing / making changes in an exisiting game realy interests me. I am a great lover of Crciket games. Cricket 2007 has been one of my adictions. I used to make custom bats and kits for it with some help from internet. . it was fun . . .
For Editing many people now use Unreal engine which comes with Unreal Tournament and 3ds max. Its really fun when it comes to editing a game that you always wanna play.
I remember editing Soldier of fortune 2 multiplayer so my character can only have sniper rifle and shotgun. It also jumps high in the air and in that time you have to target a person and shoot.
In cricket 2007 I was able to change some graphical entities (kits , bats etc) but was never able to change the logic of the game. although others have chaged shots . . . feilding positions etc :p
Canada mai koi bhi nahee khaelta aor nahi koi versions aatay hain :( My brother is playing cricket versions from 2003ish because he went to Pakistan and got it.
Is there a lan based Cricket?
Oh if you wanna play a game in Lan/wan? Not sure if you have it but wanna play warcraft3?
I hae played Fifa and NFS on LAN and it was fun . . . Cricket has multiplayer option but both players need to play on the same system . . one have to use keyboard and the other one has to Game pad
