Yes he has a problem against spinners. But if he plays his shots, he looks much better against the spinners. If he defends, he is a sure caught and bowled candidate. Only Yuvi in this Indian side has the ability to take the game away from the opposition. What is good for India is , in last three or four matches he has been very consistent and playing with a lot of confidence. And when ever he is in a form like this, Indians have done wonders.

I think India will win this game. we have come out of crappy situation and performed well many times... this time too i have the same feeling..
if we cant beat srilanka in this game then we do not deserve to go to the next round anyways... i mean if you are looking for winning the world cup then u need to be able to defeat teams like srilanka.. if u cant then why bother going to world cup with dream of winning it..
you can make fun of me later on but i think india will go to semi finals atleast...

what is one thing u are looking for right now?

The only problem I see is that She-wag is still the weak link, however after his sizlling performance against Bermuda and backing from Dravid he will not be dropped and it might just go against India.

Dravid is beyond anyones control at the moment.
Sehwag's place is guaranteed now.

Against SL, if Sehwag can score around 30-35 runs and bowl some 5-6 good overs , I will be more than happy.:(

does nobody think that ganguly is playing too slow. He put unwanted pressure in the bangla game by not rotating strike and wasting a lot of deliveries. His game in Bermuda was also so too slow. His fielding and his actions on the field was terrible. I somehow feel that he is playing to loose the match (may be I am mistaken, but the body language of him was terrible). At least dont open with him and promote tendulkar to open. One thing is tendulkar has been traditionally being good in srilankan games.

The reason SL must do their level best in this game is because if they lose, they will concede two points to India into the Super Eights. In a competition where the final four spots will be decided by a single point or two, this is unfathomable.

That being said, India wins.

Ganguly as always had a terrible body language, typical of him, plus he also has a lot of "takleef" due to body pain, muscle strain etc. while batting.
Still he manages to score so that's all we should be concerned at the moment becoz he is the ONLY player along with Yuvi who is in good form.

All Indian batsmen including Tendulkar fail to rotate strike under pressure, I have noticed this in so many matches. So we cannot guarantee that Tendulkar will be an exception.

I think even if Ganguly scores slow, he can just hold the wicket from one end and can play an anchors role, while Yuvi scoring from other end will be sufficient for India to chase a target or set up a good score.

We should not rely on Sachin in tomorrow's crucial match, he hardly delivers when it's required.:(

I hope India win the game. I dont wanna see super eight (which is already super 7) reduced further to super 6. We already screwed the next round and I hope Indians dont do that.

Yes BD deserved to win against Indians. Kudos to them but they will not be able to beat any other major team in my opinion.
