Seriously brother I know Bangalore has a rich history and besides it’s a very ancient place too, underneath all the modern facade Bangalore hides an old world of myths and legends… and all legends have some basis in fact.
Also Bangalore is supposed to be in the former domains of Sultan Tipu and theres a palace there i would love to see.

Are the Western ghats ancient forests protected areas… or have they been cleared in modern times. I wish both sides of the border stopped cutting so many trees it’s not fair on wildlife and also it is not easy to replace trees that are older than the Mughal empire.

Even today Western ghats is famous n good place in our state yaar the rain forest in our region is still protected its land of KING COBRA`s N Rose N Sandal Wood Trees !!

Excellent… I love wilderness more than cities… City predators are more dangerous. 
Is Bangalore near any major rivers? You know good clean rivers like the upper Indus or the rivers of Northern Pakistan… where the water is fast flowing.
I’m sure there must be some springs or fast waters up in the Ghats…
All cities seem to have nearby rivers but many are polluted. Tis a shame really.

Kaveri... is a fairly big river. It splits into two at Seriringapatna (Sheringapatam) two form the Island right.
Out of interest are there many bridges on the black river? And are there any ancient stone arched bridges left or are they all concrete and spanned?
Also how much of the classic architecture still survives or is there anyone still able to replicate it or like in other places has the art died out?
Since your also an Architect as well as my Paindoo bhai who better to ask such facsinating information from?
