Forced marriages.. i mean the act itself is completely condemnable, but it does promote fuzool ka feminism.
After the marriage issue is put aside, women start to talk about their huqooq, which is often exaggerated because I've sat with women who start to bad mouth their husbands, about how they expect them to cook all the time and dress up all the time and don't thin about themselves etc., islamically a woman has all the rights she needs, some men may think more than she needs, but some women i think forget that and go over the top. Maybe they should remember those less fortunate than themselves who genuinely do (or did) suffer due to being treated as second-class citizens..

If "feminism" didn't exist, females wouldn't be enjoying the rights that they do have today.
That said, the slut walk idea is beyond fuzool. Also the idea that gender roles are solely attributable to social conditioning. Now that's stretching it too far.

In the West, there is no reason for women to "stand up" for anything. Society and the legal system caters to women so the only thing left for feminists to fight for is dominance; equality was achieved years ago. And I don't care if your family is pressuring you into anything, the fact that the legal system caters to women means they have all the power.
If "feminism" didn't exist, females wouldn't be enjoying the rights that they do have today.

I agree that feminism was needed years ago, and is needed in Pakistan. Or people could just start following Islam properly. The problem is when some women take any burden or responsibility being placed on them as being oppressed, that's just playing the victim and not being a grown up.

There was an incidence in the States about a fire department being forced to lower standards for female firefighters.
There was a case in which a lesbian couple got a friend to be a sperm donor. When the couple broke up, they sued the guy for child support and won.
I know a man who's girlfriend HIT HIM and she called the cops and he got arrested for damaging her hand.
If a woman tricks a man into raising a child for a few months, and he's started taking care of it, it's pretty much impossible to get out of paying child support even if the DNA test shows otherwise.
Women are favoured a lot in divorce court, especially when it comes to custody of children.
Why do women still receive alimony? Get off your ass and find a job. Obviously there are cases where people might not be able to work because of injuries or other circumstances but if your motive for wanting alimony is simply because you're used to a certain standard of living, that's not good enough.
Boys are actually doing worse in school and this isn't even an issue. My friend's mother is an elementary school teacher and she's mentioned that it's a real problem which needs to be addressed. When it was the other way around, feminists were screaming discrimination.
And please don't bring up the salary difference. If you adjust for the actual position (middle management vs CEO etc) men and women earn the same amount. Men tend to put in longer hours and work more stressful jobs so why should women be paid equally for doing easier work?
There is literally no reason for feminists to exist. Women have equal OPPORTUNITY. Now it's up to them to go out and earn their positions. Don't ask for handouts. The fact is even women hate working with women, look it up. Both men and women prefer male superiors.

Fair enough.
The thing is that anything which deviates from Islam and/or culture is labeled feminist on here. You don't like polygamy, you are a feminist. You want to have your own place after marriage, you are a feminist (and yet, many guys who say this must have been ones who enjoyed time away from home in college and valued the independence they had). At the same time, I do agree with you that women many a time want to have their cake and eat it too, often quoting religion when it suits them and discarding when it doesn't.

Using feminism to allow certain kinds of clothes. The argument usually goes that they can wear whatever they want and there is no one to dictate that. But what about the fact that women still are seen as sex objects and the need to show off unnecessary skin just adds to it. Plus, women dress for women, more than they do for men. So, it makes no sense.

I like a lot of the stuff you've said. Here are some responses:
Lesbian couple thing sounds interesting. Maybe there are laws that are lacking in that department.
The guy getting arrested for damaging her hand (how could her hand be damaged for hitting human flesh?) is stupid. It is one stupid example and says nothing about feminism.
Why would a woman's boyfriend have to pay child support if he hasn't married her or adopted the child? Makes no sense.
If women ARE favoured when it comes to custody, well, there might be unfairness there. This should be done on a case by case basis.
Child support = Necessary. Alimony = stupid.
You know, there are masculinist movements now. Wikipedia it. It makes sense that these movements affect men a lot too. Men need to stand up to the social oppression caused by gender roles... the boundaries of which ARE diluting, thanks to feminists.
Salary is an interesting issue. I am glad you bring up that positions differ and I will add that a lot of women, being moms, only work part time or have other factors that affect them. One of them being taking time off to have kids so their career slows down. The point here isn't that just because women are making less money, they are oppressed. We need to recognize that the biological roles are very different when it comes to parenthood, which negatively affects women in their careers. We could opt for changes in the work place that allow more flex time etc for working moms. This could be called systematic oppression on one hand and just inefficient scheduling on the other.
At this point in time, in at least North America, we need to concentrate more on treating PEOPLE right, be it men, women, transgendered, children, gays, aboriginals, minorities, what have you.

Feminism is the best thing which happened to all oppressive women in the world. They are so much better off with that. :)
All the publications and awareness over decades has caused liberation of women east to west and there is no opression even by educated and enlightened people in the world.
The men do not beat their wives when drunk or even when not in educated world. And tat is because of women being so strongly liberal and fight for their rights.
Also a woman who stays home reads novels and watches TV shows all day is extremely miserable, and the woman who works till late evening and still worries about dinner is the ultimate example of freedom and liberation of women.
In the liberated world, women are so better off. They never get cheated, divorced without a single penny paid as alimony and men never walk over their rights.
