MQ posted this article in her journal about a muslim women hosting a proram on Danish TV. Heres a part of it:
But another feminist group, the Women for Freedom association, echoed a different stance.
“The choice of Asmsa Abdol-Hamid (…) is an insult to both Danish and Muslim women,” claimed Vibeke Manniche, the association’s head.
“She sends the signal that an honorable woman cannot go out unless her head is covered,” she said.
As far as hijab is concern!
Its between me and my Allah. So everyone else can take their toes and shove it all the up their ***.
Barfee! i have people stare at me and go what the heck on earth am i doing where i work- There are some who are scared and afraid -
and there are some who say salam at the same time
I will probably end up doing something in media myself - will let you know how that ride goes.
Do i get comments from family and friends - OFCOURSE. Do i give a crap - HELL NO.
:D
Its not funny! - its sad and i think being a muslim woman its my duty to present the right image. Just because i am woman that does not mean i cannot take certain career paths.
so just because i stand up for what i believe in and dont take BS i get a label of Feminist.
I wonder what would you call a man- who i abuse for good 10 yrs or so.. abuse could be physcial or mental and he decides he is going to stand up for his rights…
Well I don’t think its fair that a woman who doesnt cover her hair, but is appropriately dressed and modest in behavior and heart is considered “less than honourable”… As hard as it is to believe, there IS a middle path, between covering up to the xtreme, and dressing like a hoe.
Doesn't matter how many naked women you have dancing on TV. Saying that you're honorable only if you wear hijab is a major slap in the face of millions of muslim women.
Let God do the judging. I thought that was what Islam says.
Denmark has the biggest red light area in the world which is legalized…It is one of the most prolific producers of porno in the world…It has one of the biggest industry of producing porn magazines…And all of these range from S&M, bestiality, bondage e.t.c. where women are always the victim…
Now, that is ‘normal’ and very ‘liberating’ for the woman and it denotes the wonderful ‘freedom of expression’ that they are subjected to…
Hijab is considered by these same women as backwards, oppressive towards women and as an insult to women…
Now, my question to all the ladies in the thread, Muslim or non-Muslim: Would you rather be liberated and free as per the ideals of the Danes or liberated and free as per the ideal of a Muslim woman who is admired for what she can do with her brains rather than what she can do with her pussy, hmmm?
Hmm wow since when did prostitution become legal in Denmark?? I must have missed sumthing there
The one ridiculous feminazi group that is a selfproclaimed womans liberation party have made these public comments. Sadly the article didnt mention that the official and much larger feminist group in Denmark that are backing up the girl and her right to wear hijab on public tv being a tv host.
