Well I don’t think its fair that a woman who doesnt cover her hair, but is appropriately dressed and modest in behavior and heart is considered “less than honourable”… As hard as it is to believe, there IS a middle path, between covering up to the xtreme, and dressing like a hoe.

hijab for the women is prescribed by/according to the quran is everything except the face and hands up to the wrist shud be covered
clothes shudnt be transparent
clothes shudnt be tight enough to reveal the figure
clothes shudnt attract the opposite sex
clothes shudnt resemble dat of the opposite sex
clothes shudnt resemble dat of the unbelievers
its been prescribed so you will be recognized as muslim and prevented from being molested/teased/hit on/raped.
and yes hijab is also prescribed for men.
