Re: Fundamental question
Its not just Islam. Practically all major religions have certain aspects of their faith/rituals performed in their original language. Catholism has certain rituals performed in Latin that no one in the audience may understand. Even if a jew does not understand hebrew, there are certain prayers that are only in Hebrew. Islam has certain prayers you can only perform in Arabic. Hinudism has certain prayers that are in language that common hindus may not understand. I think its all kinda neat. Gives the religious gathering a feel of history and uniformity, regardless of where you are.
Ofcourse, elements of the faith and any issues that impact daily life should be understood properly by the practitioners, and that means in a language they understand. Thats why many sermons are in local languages to ensure the audience understand them clearly.
Re: Fundamental question
Why does Allah seem to prefer Arabic language?
‘We have sent it down as an Arabic Qur’an in order that ye may learn wisdom’ (Al-Qur’an 12: 2).
‘We have made it a Qur’an in Arabic that ye may be able to understand (and learn wisdom)’ (Al-Qur’an 43: 3).
‘Had We sent this as a Qur’an (in a language) other than Arabic they could have said: Why are not its verses explained in detail? What! (a book) not in Arabic and (a messenger) an Arab? Say: It is a guide and a healing to those who believe …’ (Al-Qur’an 41: 44).
Arabic is the most precise language among all the languages. It is really crucial that every thing in Quran is precisely stated. Arabic is unique in its efficiency and accuracy.
Becuase Quran is in Arabic and we recite verses of Quran during Salaat so it’s in Arabic. There is a difference between prayer (dua) and salaat (namaz). Prayer can be done in any language, but salaat must be done in Arabic. It is mandatory so there are no ifs and buts here. You won’t understand because you are not a Muslims (pardon me if I my assumption is wrong) So you won’t know why Quran is in Arabic language. If you so keen to know that why Arabic is favorable to Allah then I think you should start taking some Arabic lessons (which I am certain you won’t do), instead of keep bringing the same question over and over in every other thread.
It’s time for me to go to mosque and perform Jummah Salaat In ARABIC. See ya later.
Re: Fundamental question
But but what's wrong if it's in Arabic. You find it hard or what?

Re: Fundamental question

I wish I talked Allah.
So many people in the world. So many voices.
A lot of good. A lot of bad.
Ying. Yang.
I wonder if ying yang was also Gods idea?
