Ok let me bring some seriousness to this conversation by sticking to the point. Couple of things that I do agree with from the first post.
Success in life has little to do with education and more with the right mindset. Both Steve Jobs and Bill Gates were college drop outs and probably had double PhD s working for them.
It’s kind of hard to take advice from the people who have no fruit on the tree. It’s like single guppans giving out advice on how to deal with mil and sil issues
The real issue that I see is not the fact that the advisor is broke or poor or likes to give advice, as he might be advising from his failures in life. We learn more from our mistakes than from our victories. Problem is that he carries a bad and bitter attitude. Now that is definitely an issue. OP should only focus on that and not on any other aspect of the person’s personality.
