Looks very yummy- magar itna tael kyun dala hai? Btw are you celebrating something - like your modship in general?
(btw can you post the recipe.)
Ohh is that a marrow bone I see? ![]()
And look at that mirchi! FG do you eat the mirchis in your curry?
It's still alive.
MQ, teil nahee hay, olive oil hay :p It looks like a lot but it really isn't.
Recipe:
Add oil to karrahi and heat it up to the max
Add gosht, salt and fry it for 3 minutes at HIGH HEAT
Cover the karrahi and bring the heat down to medium for 15 minutes
Add two WHOLE tomatos and put the cover back for 5 minutes
Uncover and break the tomatos with spatula (or whatever spoon you're using)
add green chilli peppers and cover it for 10 minutes at low heat
Turn off the heat and let it sit for 5 min
Total Cooking time : 45 min
Prep time: none
LK - just add for the flavor.
Shahreen, you mean me?
I made karahi gosht too today :D
any proof? ![]()
I don’t need to prove myself:snooty: If you haven’t so far then u must now learn taking my word for whatever I say.
p.s. your looks good too.
FG no ginger, garlic or onion?
FG if by Frontier you mean NWFP...Then the gravy is too much.
Make it a little more dry....
Sorry true advice.:)
onion and garlic don’t go in frontier karrahi.
ginger can but I was out of it.
there is no gravy. Just some juices from the couple of tomatos.
My inspiration was wacthing Nadia Khan’s Good Morning Asia where she had Mickey, the chef at BBQ Tonite (Dubai) in. He kind of vaguely gave out the recipe in two sentences. The rest is from some personal experience while seeing a Khan Saheb make one in the streets of Lahore and Namak Mandi in Peshawar.
This is very healthy food. No spices , just salt and you enjoy the flavor of meat… oh the aroma…I still got a portion in the fridge…oh what the heck let me go eat it…![]()
And I just got done making and then eating biryani ![]()
chat per aao.
Aa gai. Ab kya karoon?
maynay khaana khaa liya hay. Bartun dho dau. ![]()
This weekend I ate that Namak mandi ki krahi.
They said it is dumbay ka gosht. ![]()
It was quite dry and less mirch masala and gravey. But was very good :k:
Wow looks mazadaar. Yum Yum!
yeh gosht aysay hi gal jayega???
jee, make sure you get leg or shoulder. The bakra shouldn't be over 22 lbs wala and also should be pinkish in color. Waisay bhi karrahi kaa gosht ziyada naram nahee hona chaahyay. ThoRRi si jaan honi chaahyay. Aap kay daant tau apnay hain naa?:biggthumb
