so what? Hindi is the original language of the land and Urdu got sizable vocabulary from it. Rasoi was not religious term like Mandir. Its common household name.

Its chhanni in Sindhi as well. what about Kafgeer? Its chamach (doi with holes like chhalni)

See, you guys are assuming that there even used to be a separate room for cooking and other stuff. In villages back in the day, there was no "rasoi ghar" or "bawarchi khana" There was a corner of the open area, which was also the central area of the house. That was also a very modern invention, to do the cooking inside. Normally it was done outside the house, since the fire produced a lot of smoke (depending on which source of fuel you used), and you couldn't bring that smoke inside the house. The whole bawarchi khana vs rasoi ghar is a new invention.

ham chawal wala chamcha kehty hain, jissey anda talty hain usey anday wala chamcha, kafgeer pehli baar suna hy shayad..

This is called ukhli-mohri in Sindhi. A similar type utensil used for ghoting bhang is called dando-koondo :bummer:
