Mere Bhai, if ang is Hindi then there should be its Urdu equivalent. If JOR is Hindi then there should be its Urdu equivalent. Same goes for thousands of words which are written as Hindi origin in dictionaries.
This makes no sense at all. If it does then please do let me know because I am really interested.
The commonality of thousands of very basic words like PAANI, KA/KE/KI, PAYRR, and grammar itself, shows that Urdu and Hindi were one language at certain point of time. That language had no name but English referred to that common language as Hindustani. Muslims put Persian and Arabic words in Hindustani and call it URDU, while Hindus put Sanskrit words in Hindustani and call it Hindi.
Therefore to say that PAANI is a Hindi word adopted by Urdu, is as preposterous as saying PAANI is a Urdu word adopted by Hindi. Such words belong to BOTH languages.
