It seems that certain things become taboo with the passage of time. Besides portrayal of women as goddess of love / sex, societies in past had empowered women. Now empowerment comes in the shape of exploitation and societies as a whole are less tolerant towards ladies.

I must say … You have a strong ability/sense of intelligence regarding cultural/anthropological development.
