Friendship with opposite gender!

Re: Friendship with opposite gender!

Yes they can as long as you call them "bhai" :p

Re: Friendship with opposite gender!

^or Baji, LOL!

Re: Friendship with opposite gender!

Very very very rare, me thinks - at least one will fall for another at some point or think 'what if'. The interaction may remain platonic, but feelings? No.

Even if one is highly unattractive, the unattractive one may harbor feelings for the 'better' one.

Re: Friendship with opposite gender!

^Extremely true!!!

Re: Friendship with opposite gender!

as long as they dont spend a lot of time with eachother.. i mean if the friendship is just limited to hello /hi . then i think its possible.. the moment they start liking each other's accompany.. things starts going the other direction

Re: Friendship with opposite gender!

Those saying no, are you guys for real?

I mean those who work or study or breathe in opposite gender dominated fields, have no hope for *simple *friendships? *In their own environment that is...

Otherwise, the world would have been in a bigger havoc by now...
*

Re: Friendship with opposite gender!

agree 100%

Re: Friendship with opposite gender!

a good looking dude and/or good looking gils and they wont develop attraction ????????????????

yeah if the dude is castrated.
This one BS we always hear from women.

Re: Friendship with opposite gender!

it depends on the person...

you can & you can't...

i did so many times, but then once you get to know the person...you stick with friendship...

Re: Friendship with opposite gender!

An attraction isn't always solely based on looks.

You can still care for someone and not be more than a friend.. Nothing more than a friend... A very simple relationship... Not a complicated equation...

Re: Friendship with opposite gender!

I would call them acquaintances rather than friends. The term 'friend', to me, comes with a sense of affection....

My own opinion does not please me...its sounds so, what can I say, 'non-liberal'...'close-minded'....but it's an honest observation too.

Even rules have exceptions. This, in comparison, is just an opinion.

Re: Friendship with opposite gender!

I actually was really close to this guy once in highschool and was shocked he never hit on me, only sweet stuff and was never crude…only alot later found out he was gay :hoonh: but it could happen i think, not that it should islamically but it could…

Re: Friendship with opposite gender!

No I don't think so. There is always some level of affection involve. Sometime people just cover it better.

Btw there is a difference between *friendship *and *just knowing *someone.

Re: Friendship with opposite gender!

yes if you are totally unattracted to your friend

Re: Friendship with opposite gender!

Someone said "Men and women can not be friends. I know only two types of women - one that I sleep with, and the one that I do not sleep with but I want to".

Having said that, Yes friendship with the opposite gender can be very easily managed if you know your limits.

Re: Friendship with opposite gender!

Friendship is platonic.
Fraandship is defintely NOT.

Re: Friendship with opposite gender!

guys + girls = friendship NO !!

dont go there .:p

Re: Friendship with opposite gender!

nah they cant ... bar a few exceptions

  1. u meet when ur real young... so u became friends before physical attraction ever came up on anyone's minds

  2. ur parents are close, or ur bro is friends with there sis, or something like that.

  3. one person is real ugly. im talking Jay-Z ugly... so that thought aint even crossed ur mind

COS if u meet at say.. i dunno... 14-16 plus.. then u hit puberty.. so the theory is... why be friends in the first place?? CLEARLY your talking to them cos there is some kind of mutual attraction

Look at any of ur mates u made after 15 years old of the opposite sex.. .at anypoint did u become there friends to strike up interesting conversations and talk about the current state of the economy?
