Have you ever read/heard where it said “one who resemble other is not from us”.? I agree with you that keeping beard is ‘Sunnah’ not ‘Fard’, but i differ with you from here that our beloved Prophet said "If you love me then follow me, Almighty Allah loves You’. So following Him PBUH is to do the same as what He PBUH did and in that keeping beard is included.
