There might not be a check for guys, but is there really a check for girls...jeez. Its wrong to do such deeds..but humans make mistakes, who are we to judge. What if she has repented to allah and changed her ways. We don't know if she was forgiven. Thats a whole different topic.

Is your friend a virgin before his marriage? Even if he was, what was his proof that his collegue was not lying about his wife.

another thing, even if the girl made that mistake, was she not loyal to her hubby now. People do make mistakes and I think that it was very stupid of that guy to divorce his wife based on something that happened in her past.

I know of this custom from Baluchistan through some Baloochi friends of mine where the guests are shown blood stained bed sheet in the morning from the bed on which bride and groom consummate their marriage. Now any girl who gets shot will be plain stupid because there are many loop holes in this system of proving ones virginity. For example how difficult it is for her to smuggle a little bottle of fake or real blood and spill it on the bedsheet secretly.
I discussed this subject with this one Baloochi friend at length he was well educated but still had that kind of mindset which dictated that his wife should be a virgin but he himself was not virgin and had slept with prostitutes.

Yup I know of this custom too, but I dont think that girl can smuggle a bottle of blood .

That is soooo ridiculous and stupid. I dunno what to say...but its very sad. I think in my health class way back in the days we learned not many women bleed, even if it is the 1st time....are these mullah types living in their own little weird world....so sad
