Friday Sermon in your masjid-(all)

Re: Friday Sermon in your masjid-(all)

I think it counts for three months from Rajab, Sha'ban, and Ramadhan in that order?

It actually makes sense if take it in that context...

Thanks for clarifying.

Re: Friday Sermon in your masjid-(all)

Assalamualaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh,

I disagree with that statement, that the fasting is fasting for 89 days. Many people can say such stuff. But is it backed up by the authentic sunnah- the quran and sunnah (and what these approve)? A lot of people these days say, My scholar said this and that or Molvisaab said this and that, and follow their religion based on these statements, but remember that this is what can lead one to hell or heaven! I’m not at all trying to debase scholars, but what I am saying saying is that we should follow the righteous scholars in what has been shown to be from the sunnah and quran.

I’m going to give a few proofs, and leave it at that:
*“So whoever of you sights (the crescent on the first night of) the month (of Ramadan i.e. is present at his home), he must observe Sawm (fasts) that month” [al-Baqarah 2:185] *
The month of Sha’baan, as it was narrated that ‘Aa’ishah (may Allaah be pleased with her) said: “The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) used to fast until we thought that he would never break his fast, and he would not fast until we thought that he would never fast. I never saw the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) fast an entire month apart from Ramadaan, and the month in which I saw him fast the most was Sha’baan. He used to fast all of Sha’baan or all of it apart from a few days.” (al-Bukhaari, 1969; Muslim, 1156).
