Freedom?

Is it worth dying for?

No. Corrupt politicians however are worth dying for. I'd take a bullet for Zardari.

Freedom in true sense means, Liberty of the person from slavery, detention, or oppression. In my opinion, freedom is no doubt worth fighting for. Freedom is something, you have to fight for, its never given on a silver platter.
Just imagine for a second, if we were living in Kashmir, Palestine, Chechneya, or some other African country, where we had to go through harrasment of the oppressor on a daily basis, Also imagine( God-forbid ), your family members being sexually harrased by the oppressor, your father or brother shot at blind spot... I hope these terrible things never happen to anybody, but reality is something we are all familiar with....For me to describe the horrors of war or slavery is something almost next to impossible, however if you want to get a glipmse, visit the website called www.ogrish.com. ( This site is recommended for people with strong hearts only, extremely graphic ).

PEACE

I'd say that freedom is worth fighting for; but not dying for.

But what is freedom any way? Freedom is said to be a right; or is it just a pigment of our imaginations?

heh, i dunn think its a pigment of anyone's imagination

If its worth fighting for and if that struggle entails death...then it would be a worthy death, would it not?

Don't mind me, just some abstract thoughts:)

It is worth dying for the sake of God for any good cause.

Maybe a better question is ... Would life be worth living, without it?

Give me liberty or give me death. Who said that?

Freedom means different things to different people. Is there any uniformed definition for freedom, that people across the world ascrice to to, or desire?

In midst of battle, he was offered the chances for treaty with the British. But his chivalrous reply became the slogan of bravery for all time to come :

** "One day's life of a lion is preferable to hundred years' of a jackal". **

He died for that freedom! It was Tipu Sultan the tiger of Mysore.

Is it worth dying for? Sure, if it's a priority to you. :)

i can help u :kaboom:  :rocket: :2guns:

Depends on who your fighting, and what they are doing to you...

Yes.

By what you say no muslim can do anything. So why live?

We are talking freedom of man v man not God...

Tell that to our resident HT member.
Plus by his definition of things, all our actions are pre-determined as we have no freedom. So why live? What ever naiki we do, is pre-determined as are sins. So why live?

OF COURSE IT IS!

You, me, and a gazillion others live a free life by virtue of a bygone era when someone had to fight for freedom.

And in Kashmir, Palestine, Chechnya - If someone dies it's not for a lost cause. Maybe, hopefully, and possibly someone else can breathe easy in the next generation.
