Not everyone in Paris is as liberal as you’d like them to be. The problem here is people think just because a country is secular, it must allow everyone to do everything. It is not true. Also not everyone supports their government and laws. It’s the same conservative/republican type of people who find praying in streets and wearing abaya as offensive actions. Won’t you say it’s similar to GS members not wanting a secular system implemented in Pakistan.
Respect the laws of the country you are living in. At least you are allowed there but don’t expect everyone to be okay with everything you do because not even all of them support their own government.
I don’t understand what offended you so much…but if you don’t care to explain, you can stay offended.
