Re: France bans Muslim prayers on streets in Paris
When I was last there (I lived in Switzerland from 1999 to 2005) the reason and i quote “they did not feel the need for one in Berne”. Secondly the government refused to sell land to the Muslim Embassies to build a mosque outside of town for some odd reason. I never understood the reason for the land case, but it was not allowed.
Now we have 4 mosques in berne well did when I last went in 2009. Two in Ostring. One near the Bahnoff and one on the otherside of town. They were all old buildings that were refurbished.
