Why do people keep saying this? No, that is not what we were put on the earth for. That is like saying man was put on the earth to be a husband. That's utter garbage. We were put on this earth as humans and why we were put on this earth - there are probably many reasons for that. Not just to be someone's wife.
Good grief. If that was why I was put on this earth, then I'd like to have my bhulaawa now.

Are you just interested to know the “feelings” or what they would do after discovering that it has happened? If just the feelings, ofcourse they wont be too excited as to share here… if the “reaction-plan”… I hope you dont have to go through one :k:

Whats an ABCD response? and why are women in pakistan able to "hack it" anymore so than a woman in anyother country?
my answer, if he allows me to buy all the shoes i want he can do whatever the frig he wants. Marriage for me is just another means for someone new to pay for my shoes.

I'm split on this. On the one hand, I realize that girls outnumber guys so it would make sense for guys to marry more than one, just because of the social structure in Islam where the men are responsible for the women's well being...On the other hand jealousy is normal in such a scenerio...I guess it's all about having faith in Allah SWT. Allah is the one who allows it and He knows better than any of us. Since Allah has allowed men to have up to four wives, I don't think I would prevent my husband from marrying someone else, but I would hate the other chick. Also, it would be on my husband's head if he treated us unequally, so that's a relief.
Its because men are biologically polyamorous (aka pigs). It only makes sense to instruct humans that having a harem is natural and manking should not stop it by limiting a man to one female partner.
The Quran explicitly states that men are greedy (or as PCG likes to refer to it as piggishness) in Surah Nisa. And God is directly implying the existence of men's greed in the allowance of 4 wives. :)
^^ You must have had some real bad / sour experiences with men to be repeating yourself like a parrot "All men are pigs" . All Men are not that bad so it must be you OR maybe the opposite sex doesn't attract you.
There have been civilizations where women were dominant and had mutiple husbands.
Who says men are biologically polyamorous? If Allah had made them that way, he wouldn't have created Eve for Adam, he would have created other women for him as well.
Everyone feels desire for others, women too except I sometimes think men are given more license to express that desire. It's all about controlling it. Since it's very hard for anyone to treat all wives the same, perhaps Allah meant for that desire to be controlled. Unfortunately, desire and lust have come to be seen as the only things that lead to multiple marriages but I'm sure other factors come into play as well (infertility, dislike of the first wife but in some societies divorcing her would make things hard forf her because of the stigma, helping poor women out financially and so on)
Brilliantly said, all men should justify their pervertedness < i don’t care if thats not a word >, by claiming its the woman’s fault. Your statement is so profound am at a loss for words. Rape? woman’s fault? how dare any woman not be covered from head to toe…we’r practically asking for it aren’t we, shameless women
We're not talking about rape, we're talking about multiple marriages. By the way, weren't you the one who posted about lusting after a MARRIED man? And you call men perverted and pigs? Haha ahh the irony.
It takes a guy to know how a guy feels and reacts to women around him. Run around flaunting your assets and you WILL be gauked at and drooled over. Cover yourselves properly and you will be given respect that is generally reserved for saints.

When did i call a man a pig?
Your statement was so broad it can be applied in anyway whatsoever. Why is the woman's fault? how do we contribute to their "pigginess"? By not being covered up? Why is it the wives fault that her husband needs 2 or more wives? And what does wearing a niqab have to do with anything?
If you had read my married lecturer thread properly you would know it was tongue and cheek, i was not being serious.
