When you switch a brand…do you ever get it right the first time? I never do.
Right now, I have been trying Lancome’s Teint Idole Ultra 24HR and even though the quality is great the color selection is not.

Re: Foundation...
I need help with foundation. I've never worn one,but now would like to wear something quick & easy (everyday wear) nothing too heavy. Hope makeup experts will help me out :)
Re: Foundation…
Heck no! Its a total pain in the a$s! ![]()
Last time I searched for a new foundation, I went through every-single-brand at Sephora, Nordstorm, Macy’s, and Saks! Of course many of the brands didn’t have a perfect color match. Out of the ones that did, I ended up getting samples of like 6-7 different ones. Tried each one at one during day and night…took pics to see how it photographs etc. It was exhausting! :hinna:
What’s your skin tone? With Lancome, I really liked their Teint Miracle. If you mention what brands you have already tried and didn’t like, and what type of finish you’re looking for…perhaps we can make some suggestions on brands to try.
Re: Foundation…
I returned it today and got a better shade I think. I’ll have to see how it photographs…but so far…it looks nice. I tried it on…its not pale looking or ashy or too dark…the other ones made me so noticeably orange people commented on it, lol. Its the Bisque 410 I got today. The only thing is…I wishhhh it didn’t have any SPF in it.
Re: Foundation...
I just feel like when you're switching foundations..........its so hard getting to know another product. Nailing down that shade that you and the camera love is not easy.
Re: Foundation...
i never got a good color match :( foundation, nor i have any idea how to buy one that suits me

You can try a tintied moisturizer or BB cream.

Why don't you try out BB creams? Skin 79 makes a couple of good ones for everyday wear.

BB creams? Where should I look for them?

Any one tried the number 7 match made service where the assistant uses a gadget to see what shade you are?
Re: Foundation...
^My sister tried and bought that, she recommended it to me too cos they did a good match on her. Haven't bought one myself cos I have enough make-up as it is and I'm quite happy with my Mac one

Did you try the Teint Miracle? If I remember right, that's SPF free. For me personally, SPF always gives me a while flash in pics. So for going out....I had to find a primer and foundation with no SPF. Are you looking for something to wear daily or special occassion? Medium to full coverage I assume.
Re: Foundation...
choosing a foundation... very tricky
Often testing a shade on wrist fails,
So i test on my cheek or forehead,
still a FAIL
when i apply on face, for some time it looks nice then afterr some times due to temperature change/ air/ wind , my face seems too oily/ too dry,

Might go and get matched then :D

For daily wear, I wear primer and some blush. I try not to wear foundation daily. This will be for special occasions. And I have not tried the Teint Miracle...I thought that was more for mature skin so didn't even think of it. I'll look at it though...you think it wears better?

Revlon Colorstay
Re: Foundation…
Mature skin?!
What’re you talking about? I’ll be 18 in few months… :halo:
When I was doing my “research” last year, I was specifically looking for items with 0 SPF so I never tried the one with SPF. At the end, MUFE HD, NARS Sheer Glow, and Lancome Teint Miracle ended up being my top 3 choices. I ended up getting MUFE HD and NARS. But when I run out of either one of these…I will definitely look into getting a Lancome next.
Speaking of, have you already tried MUFE HD? Don’t worry about mature vs. young skin. Just look for the ones that have no SPF, type of coverage you want, and comes in a color that matches you. I think you should definitely get a sample of the Teint Miracle and see what you think. Check out reviews on it on makeupalley too.
BTW, if I remember right, you recommended Mehron to me on another thread. From reviews, Graftobian and Cinema Secrets seem to work for a lot of people too. What’re your thoughts on those? I got Graftobian last week. Not going well so far as a foundation. ![]()
