I use Maybelline's powder foundation in ivory its so easy to use and i love to use it while going to work....i have posted a thread abt it too

loreal n max factor have no any colore tone for yellows or desi undertones(i think as i hv made searched,,i duno abut other's opinion) i think mac n boby brown have lots of varaiety in tones but bit xpensive...

They say Mac has the best foundation, so you can try to go to the mall and try out one of their foundations/concealers before you buy it. Also I really like panstick by maxfactor.

I have been using true match by neutogena for the past few years and am pretty satisfied with it.

Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation in "Light sand".
I bought it a while back and have only used it a few times. It is very light and doesn't look caked... so I'd definitely recommend it (to those with normal/dry skin. I have oily skin so unfortunately it doesn't work that well for me).

phew, i'm glad i didn't get that. I was deciding between Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation and GM Luminous Silk, I went for LM in the end but I always wondered if the other might have been better.
hey guys please include shades!! of course we all won't be the exact same shade but it will help others to use as a starting point.
as for my family survey, i found out:
-my cousin used MAC NC42 on her shaadi.
-my sister uses MAC NC 45 (she uses darker foundation than her skin tone). so i'm thinking the NC range is good for us desis.
-my mom uses sephora d33...it gives a really nice glowy look and no one can tell she is wearing foundation.
-my other cousin uses l'oreal w6 foundation. the powder is too reddish, but the foundation is perfect.
stylobabe-ivory?? wow...i mean one of my friends is a redhead and she is not even ivory.
afsoon, the armani foundation sounds really nice...my skin is neither oily nor dry so i think it'll look good. will post a review after my trip to sephora :)

jalebi - yup, all Asian's will be NC or C in MAC foundations and usually NW in concealer.
As I said above, I use NC30 in MAC Studio Fix Fluid, NC35 in MAC Studio Fix Powder (Fluid runs a bit darker than the Powders), and Beige Ivory in Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation.
Laura Mercier matches my skin exactly, MAC SFF has an extra warmth that only I notice! But my face is kinda pale compared to the rest of my body so I prefer it.
I use both LM:SCF and MAC:SFF, it's really hard to pick which one I like more.

I just bought VIP expert in shade 101 beige light and use it with the "tone" sheer color tinted moisturizer from Stila and it is a PERFECT match!
Stylo- Ivory? Please tell me you're joking. I've tried ivory before and even on me it just looks so mismatched and totally wrong.
I use MAC studio fix NC 20 (i think its 20..will check again)...It works pretty well...but make sure you get the powder with it...I recently tried a Vichy foundation which everyone told me didn't really go at all..so no no to that one.
I am thinking of trying bobby brown foundation soon...will tell you how that goes...i hear they have good conealors and stuff..

and if you are looking to buy foundation....look at your specific skin and what you need for yourself...some ppl need more coverage then others..like mac studio fix works for me because i feel like it hides my freckles and all..so it's more of a heavy covrage...but if you feel that you don't need as much converage..you can go for something lighter..

i also use mac NC42 love it so far... i can only reommend it to everyone..

I have used the bare minerals…it is “staining for our skin”
I have switched to Body Shops all in one .I use the bare mineral’s brush instead of the whats that called the you know the patty:cb:..The applicator…thats better:)

i use mac NC30
i use bare minerals in medium beige+light..without the veil. i use a kabouki brush but sometimes i dampen the sponge a little and then apply the powder with it. it gives a really nice finish that way..
FOUNDATIONS
I wanted to buy a new foundation. Can someone advise me the best make of foundation there is? Is mac any good or should I go for something like clinique?

I wouldn't touch mac. Buy makeup forever velvet foundation. It's completely worth the price.
