As a make up artist i would def rate Lancome, they are literally the number one makeup brand in the world! eve ahead of MAC!
the consistency of their foundations are great.
Try Colour Ideal compact is very nice and also light.
If u have good skin i stronly recommend using Becca , their tinted moisturizer is fantastic. If u have the odd blemish gget the dior under eye concealer and use it on ur face. it all depend on ur skin type as in oily/dry and ur complexion . If u want any personalised tips drop e a line on my mushi thread and ill be happy to help you out.
smash box is also good coverage and before u put the foundation put the primeir foundation its a clear liquid which smooth all lines and blemish and then put foundation on and makes it look real nice photo finish.
I have been using L’Oreal Bare Natural Powdered Mineral Foundation …it is amazing…i don’t have to put on too much…just brush up little bit and you are good to go…best for light coverage. love the packaging becuz it comes with it’s own brush. http://barenaturale.lorealparis.ca/en/barenaturale.html
you can also try cover effects foundations, they are really good but it is more for if you want a natural look.
marwah - yea I was looking at the shades online and they don't seem to have as much variety as MAC. I think I'll go to the Lancome counter at our mall and ask them to test the closest shade on me.
Sara - Since I only use foundation when I'm getting dressed up, I need something that gives full coverage so it works as a good base for when I put on makeup. What kind do you use? Your skin is amazing! =)
Sahar - How's the coverage? Is it just light or does it give like a matte finish?
Hi Guys,
Is there any desi event coming up in the near future where i could go and show my makeup skills? like i know wedding show is in september.....is there any other?
the foundation i used to wear was a dior one, untill i came accross and aunty here in uk uses oilivio stick foundation which you get from pakistan, ive tryed every single type of foundation but woww never been impressed, its suits my skin no spots no nuffin apart from perfect coverage i hear some brides wear it to in pakistan.x
If u're using a good quality foundation there's no harm in using it everyday..depends on what u're skin-type is. If you have blemishes, the tone of u're skin, texture and whether it's oily/dry/combo. Be sure and moisturize before applying u're foundation.
hmm i think i've oily skin... no infact combination.... oily in the T area, n kind of normal rest... so which foundation shd i use? from this thread i think MAC is the best so far for heavy base? right? n which one for daily use??????
n how do i mosturize??? uffffffffff i dont know the abc of makeup :(
If u have scars or pigmentation use a concealer on those area's followed by u're choice of foundation I like bobbi brown and mac for full-coverage and lancome for sheer-to-medium coverage. You moisturize using a good cream meant for u're skin.
My american friends are always gushing about Dior this or NARS that but I have yellow undertones to my skin, not pink, so their favorite foundation ranges don't look good on me.
I used to have Revlon 340 Golden Caramel and it looked really natural on me...but I left it in Pak and now I have no foundation. I am thinking there might be an even better foundation out there, so please post what brand and shade you use.
I would post a pic of my face but the site says i can't post attachments :(
I used to buy l'Oréal foundation bt when I went to Pak last summer my MIL advised me to use Etude's foundation coz it suits better on us, Pakistani. And nw, dats wat I use and as far as I'm concerned, it's the best foundation on my skin color :)
