Re: Foundation 101

I'm not really a fan of mineral make-up, it soaks-up all the sebum on your skin and makes the skin feel really dry. It also causes the skin to produce more oil. Shanum, if you need full-coverage the make-up base will be heavy and won't be 'natural'. Unless you use a concealer on the blemishes and foundation on the rest of your face.

Re: Foundation 101

can u recommed somtng for me as well .. :@:

Re: Foundation 101

please read my post on page 8

Re: Foundation 101

thanks gina, can u please recommend me any foundation which may not fully cover my blemishes but gives natural look and doesnot produce more oil on my face so that i d0not breakout?

and can i use neutrogena bases?

Re: Foundation 101

I like Bobbi Brown foundations Shanum, fluid for medium-to-natural coverage and foundation sticks for heavier coverage.

AB, i'll get to your posts soon Inshallah.

Re: Foundation 101

Revlon Color-stay might be a good option for you. Chanel Teint Innocence is anothoer option, very light coverage. You could also opt for a tinted mositurizer Bobbi Brown, Laura Mercier are both good.

L’oreal hydrafresh is a moisturizer, not a primer. MAC prep + prime, Urban Decay, Smashbox, Makeup Forever all make primers.

thanks Gina !

Re: Foundation 101

Oh! This was the one I used to use by Lancome a long time ago...sadly they stopped making it!!! :(

I think that will be the next one I'm going to try.

So this year I tried a few foundations...don't thinK i'm successful so far. I hate mineral foundation because of the mess it makes, like no matter how much I tap it it always goes outside the jar. also when I put it on, it doesn't stay well at all..it aggravates my allergies, and wheN i have to scratch my nose or blow it without fail I will see the foundation on it..so by teh end of the day half my foundation is off my face.

Before that I had used Mac cream foundation (N25)...it was ok for a while but eventually I noticed that it made my skin look very uneven and patchy.. dunno if it just went bad or what :/

Earlier in the year I purchased MUFE HD foundation..I don't use it too often. Now the problem for me is...when I put it on, it will look normal but when I take pictures...I end up looking 5 shades lighter then my neck...if I try a darker color, it looks orange to me in real life.. :/

a few days ago I tried the bobbi brown stick foundation....first it didn't sweat off or rub off..I also tried the corrector for dark spots, the makeup artist used a very dark shade on me (dark bisque) which when I saw in hte mirror at sephora looked fine..but then when I looked in the mirror in a natural light, I could visibly see the dark foundation.

Soooo I dunno if its my camera or Im doing something wrong or what..

Re: Foundation 101
