So, is this really considered ok??
And in your opinion would it work as a deterrent or just make the person handing out the punishment feel better??

Re: Sister/Brother in haram relationship - your reaction??
I would say ... "If you were my sister I wouldn't let anything harm you" ... brothers don't deserve sisters if they beat them or even threaten to beat them ... Having a brother for a sister means having a protector, carer and shield. What sort of shield harms the one who yields it?
Re: Sister/Brother in haram relationship - your reaction??
Also this thread title suggests this thread is about incest.
Re: Sister/Brother in haram relationship - your reaction??
solutions to any problem MUST NOT come thru violence. shareef log apni bahnoN ko maarte peeTte nahiiN...yeh sab jihaalat kii nishaaniyaaN haiN...if sister goes that far, it must be solved with reasoning, logic and love.

I thought that too.
Re: Sister/Brother in haram relationship - your reaction??
It is absolutely not OK. How could anyone even consider doing such a despicable thing if they even remotely loved their sister?
Of course the "men" who threaten to or beat the "crap out of" their sister/female relative are just insecure, petty people who feel "powerful" by intimidating or trashing those who they think are weaker than them. In reality these pathetic people hiding behind the cloak of self-righteousness deserve a worse punishment themselves than what they prescribe for others.
Re: Sister/Brother in haram relationship - your reaction??
your thread title is different then the post.
no sense at all.
Re: Sister/Brother in haram relationship - your reaction??
Sorry, can a mod change the thread title pls.. That didn't even cross my mind..
Re: Sister/Brother in haram relationship - your reaction??
Depends on what SharyerKhan's hypothetical sister did.
Apparently beating is productive both as a deterrent and disciplinary measure. Remember the ayah about striking your wife with a toothbrush (why not a broom? I've always wondered) when she's being lewd? Yes. Clinical studies have shown that lewdity is always best beaten out of a person, preferably with a toothbrush. And God knows best.
Re: Sister/Brother in haram relationship - your reaction??
for a moment I thought the title of the thread meant haram relationship b/w a brother and sister i.e. incest..and i was like OMG... :/
Re: Sister/Brother in haram relationship - your reaction??
^ I think a lot of people thought that. :p
Re: Sister/Brother in haram relationship - your reaction??
**chaibiskut](http://www.paklinks.com/gs/members/chaibiskut.html), **the Islamic thing is just symbolic to show ur displeasure.. more a tap than a beating hence no broom
Re: Fornicator sibling - your reaction??
don't know about others but I'd definitely beat my sibling up.
Re: Fornicator sibling - your reaction??
ergh...i was actually going to open a thread like this, u beat me to it deeba.
I wrote this somewhere else so its something of a repost, I didn't take that post literally....to me it wasn't an issue of "honor" or domestic violence... and I don't condone violence but if I were to hear my hypothetical yonger sibling in such a crappy sitaution, I would be really angry too....but I would also hope to be close enough to them to make sure that something like this doesn't even happen to begin with.
Isn't one of the responsibilities of being a parent/elder sibling, is to make sure your loved one doesn't ruin their life? no matter how much they may hate you or get angry at you.....if it prevents them from making terrible mistakes in life, short of violence/killing them, anything else is acceptable isn't it?
Violence is never the answer, and we should never use bad words or shout or scream at our loved ones either.....but aside from violence, everything is fair game isn't it?
Re: Fornicator sibling - your reaction??
I guess the thread is about incest but OP was vague. Hence the confusion among members. They think this thread is about brother beating their sister and replied or not accordingly.
Re: Fornicator sibling - your reaction??
er...what was the original title? Siblings fornicating?
Re: Fornicator sibling - your reaction??

sister/brother in a haram relationship...your reaction? :@:
Re: Fornicator sibling - your reaction??
Deeba1234: If such thing happens to my siblings, i will neither beat them nor support them for their wrong doing. I will definitely help them to get out from the dirt.
Re: Fornicator sibling - your reaction??
this thread makes no sense at all...what does fornication/incest *have to do with beating/domestic violence*???
Re: Fornicator sibling - your reaction??
I don’t know how I would react to something like this. I would definitely not yell at her or make her feel horrible about herself. Since breaking the religious code of conduct is not an issue for me, I would explain how something like this can ruin her life. My main issue would be who’s the guy and is he worth the trouble. Is it something SHE wanted to do or HE forced her into it. If he did force her into it then I WILL BEAT THE CRAP OUT OF HIM… ![]()
