Formula 1 - season 2007

Re: Formula 1 - season 2007

^I think Massa will go to toyota then

Re: Formula 1 - season 2007

But Alonso also started acting like a cry baby.

Re: Formula 1 - season 2007

its your ferrari loyalty talking, nothing else.

rookie or not he is a phenomenal driver, and he has been a gentleman throughout.
alonso on the other hand has not only acted like a prick, he has tried to blackmail his own team, and was involved in the whole spygate saga..if we are to believe the viewd of the F1 governing body.

People, including Alonso took his gentlemanly approach as weakness and lack of backbone, he is being assertive…alonso fans see this is arrogance though. I see it as confidence ans being assertive. He is not goign to let Alonso walk all over him.

and what continuing discriminative attitude..that is alonso’s excuse, when he was ahead of hamilton in spa he was all happy. his ego cant handle that somoene in their first season is doign so well.

rookies dont do half this well.

Re: Formula 1 - season 2007

latest news is that there will be an inquiry into Hamilton’s driving behind the safety car.

While the safety car was on Hamilton apparently braked excessively on repeated occasions while there was no need to (the safety car still had its lights on). One of these instances led to Vettel running into the back of Webber’s car, forcing both out of the race. Especially in rainy conditions with sight being minimal one would expect the race leader to take his responsibility and not create unnecessary danger, especially behind the safety car :smack:

If found guilty Hamilton may lose his points from Japan and possibly be demoted 10 places for the chinese GP.

So much for Hamilton’s sportsmanship and gentlemanship :k:

Re: Formula 1 - season 2007

so first the red bull drivers start attacking each other and now hamilton because they think he was driving erratic.

and cry baby alonso joins in the attacks  how predictable.

hey just last rainy race ppl were talkign about how hamilton is not good in rain, so if they have issues was it a calculated move to cause some problem or was it nerves..after all he did spin out in the prvious rainy race.

of course in the background there is pressure from ferrari, their director is still seething.

and now ferrari is in a spygate of its own with their former head of develiopment admitting that he received mclaren info and it also appears that mosley has it in for mclaren, he denied knowledge of a letter stepney had sent him abotu illegal floors in ferrari.

I wonder how much is mosley getting in kickbacks from ferrari.

Re: Formula 1 - season 2007

^yeah i read that article about Ferrari too :D

The difference being that in this case there is not 'hard' evidence, like SMS and e-mail. So either Stepney is just saying something for whatever reason, or Ferrari are very good at spying. I think the truth is somewhere in between.

and i don't think Hamilton was being overcautious: after all, he had been driving in the rain for more than half of the race already. And behind the safety car you all already driving at about 40% of your potential :p

Re: Formula 1 - season 2007

and the sms/email in maclaren's case were not proven to be connected to the ferrari data. the indpendent data forensics company found nothing.

The fact remains, ferrari is ticked off...mclaren and hamilton is an easy target. lame teams like toro rosso and redbull are taking out their frustrations and misdirecting it.

right now its just opinion vs opinion.

and the interesting thing is this is not the first statement from the redbull guys. so they go back look at race video and then come back and say oh err yeah thats why we had the issue. If it was an issue did they not know it right then.

does not meet the litmus paper test of being reasonable

alonso is not just bitter about this season, he does not want hamilton to break his record of being the youngest F1 winner.

Re: Formula 1 - season 2007

^btw u forgot to mention: Torro Rosso uses Ferrari engines :halo:

Re: Formula 1 - season 2007

thats not a secret :stuck_out_tongue:

Re: Formula 1 - season 2007

Hamilton cleared :o

Re: Formula 1 - season 2007

well common sense prevailed. as i said if it was such an obvious issue, they would have caught it then, and not after scheming and sputing that off a day later.

Cleared but after dragging this on for no reason. What was gained out of putting so much stress on him..

Now going back to Ferrari bias in F1, what happened to them for using illegal stuff in their car btw..nada, zero, zilch.

2 races to go, and it can be all wrapped up this weekend. My gut feel is that its not going to happen for him this weekend, watch redbull or toro rosso take him out and kimi and alonso to duke it out for the top spot and thus take it to the last race to decide for the championship.

Personally, I hope that with all the yip yap by ferrari and alonso this season, that kimi and alonso take each other out of teh race.

Re: Formula 1 - season 2007

Well! This morning Hamilton produced a stunner in Qualifying to snatch P1 from the opponents (Raikkonen, Alonso and Massa). Well done Hamilton!

And while the safety car was being followed in Fuji, I think Hamilton radioed his team to ask Weber to stay back as he was too close to Hamilton in that low visibility. He was afraid that Red Bull might hit his car and damage his chances for a win. I don't know why that information is lost. I shall try to dig out that information. Also apparently, safety car slowed down as well.

All this noise because of a YouTube video!!!

Re: Formula 1 - season 2007

witchdr

its simple, ferrari is ticked off, and are looking for all kinds of excuses. I would not be surprised if they strong armed toro rosso and redbull team that they wont give them ferrari engines. Alonso is being a faithful dog to his future employers i.e. ferrari. Is there anyone who doubts thats where he will end up in a season or two?

Re: Formula 1 - season 2007

Indeed, that seems to be the case. Also I think Europeans are not too happy to have a British F1 winner.

Re: Formula 1 - season 2007

yeah they had similar issues with mansell and hill.
while prost and senna got away with murder..
anyone remember the race where one of these gentlemen forced the other oen out and that is how the F1 title was decided. dunn recall if any points were docked etc..

Re: Formula 1 - season 2007

22 laps, hamilton leading..could he close it out tonight

Re: Formula 1 - season 2007

24 laps..

Re: Formula 1 - season 2007

shoulda changed his tyre in 30. now he is out. which means it will go on to the last race for sure now, unless kimi and alonso knock each other out..which is NOT going to happen.

Re: Formula 1 - season 2007

^I tell ya! It was a Ferrari conspiracy! They had actually obtained access to Hamilton’s tyres the evening before the race. And had applied special glue to his tyres which resulted into too much grip and hence more wear and tear of his tyres :cb:

and in Brazil, Massa is going to knock out Hamilton in the first corner, so it will be upto Raikkonen and Alonso to decide between them :halo:

Re: Formula 1 - season 2007

I missed the race this morning because of working late till morning. :(

It has come down to the wire. I think Massa will want to win the last one too. It will be one hell of a race, this last one.
