What is sad is you missed a key point in my post.

I readily acknowledged I was quite sure it was not the lady’s intent to put down other religions. I provided context. That being a cheer leader for ONE religion - claiming. it to be the best - can be grating to followers of other religions.

And I stated Narayana is an EQUALLY good planner. For I would never say Narayana is a BETTER planner. And that, dear, is the point. So sad you missed it. Insert shaking hide sideways emoticon.

How does that even make sense? One is a Muslim because he believes there is no God except one. To expect a Muslim to accept that there are not only other Gods but they’re also equally good planners is just … Hinduism. And you’re more than welcome to follow that belief system but don’t be telling others off for rejecting all other Gods. To associate someone else with Allah is called shirk and that, mere bhai, goes against everything that monotheism stands for.

^^ Agreed. I follow Islam BECAUSE I believe it is the best religion. And what is the issue in stating that fact? And why should I not state it? He very peacefully got his point across WITHOUT bashing any other religion. Why do you have an issue with that?

I didn’t realize my speaking my mind would cause such an outrage. But, I thought the title of the thread was pretty self-explanatory. What else would I talk about in a thread that speaks of a critic of Islam converting to Islam, if not highlight the goodness of Islam and display a thankful attitude for the man’s reversion?..

I suppose I should always do a post script and say “All faiths are awesome” for the ultra-sensitive friends among us.

Just for the record, I meant to cause no heart-ache to anyone. I respect followers of other faiths.

What I said is what I believe, and I stand by it. Alhamdulillah for Allah guiding him. Allah guides whom He wills. Alhamdulillah for being part of the religion Allah (swt) ordained for me, and my fellow muslims. May its’ light never extinguish while its’ foes may melt away as quickly as they rise to oppose it. Ameen.
