I am gettin’ just a little yanked at the recent threats to convert to Islam at gun point. The two reporters kidnapped in Gaza are forced to make a video claiming that they have converted to Islam, and now Al-Qaedda is essentially generating an ultimatum to all Christians to abanodon their religion. Religion of Peace eh? I am pretty ticked off at the presumed religious superiority displayed in these efforts. And, isn’t there some history of offering conversion to Islam prior to an attack?

**Al-Qaeda has urged non-Muslims - especially in the US - to convert to Islam, according to a new videotape.** The call is made by a man identified on the film as "Azzam the American", a convert also known as Adam Gadahn who is wanted for questioning by the FBI.
He says ignorance of Islam leads Westerners to accept wars waged by their governments and Israel against Muslim countries.
The video opens with an introduction by al-Qaeda number two Ayman al-Zawahiri. Separately, Palestinian militants who held two Fox News journalists hostage for almost two weeks last month vowed to target all non-Muslims who entered the Palestinian territories.
“Any infidel blood will have no sanctity,” the Holy Jihad Brigades group said in a statement posted on the internet.
The group, which was previously unknown, had forced the captured journalists to convert to Islam at gunpoint, according to one of the released hostages.
If they r forced to do so, its not even true conversion, and they can revert back to their old religion. Just saying the words, doesnt make anybody a muslim, the idiots doing this shud know this.
The only reason it is big news it is coming from an American Muslim.

You never heard of Billy Graham, or Pat Robertson or the Guy in Oklahoma who was called back by God if he does not raise millions of dollars Oral Roberts, Christian Evangelist broadcast all over the World telling people that in order to be saved you got to believe in Christ.

There are religous fanatics everywhere.. America has its share and they dont always hide their distaste for Muslims very well either...

Once I read a folklore on some Islamic board. How a stalwart of the Prophet was challanged by the opponent. They had a fight in presence of the Prophet. Ultimately the Prophet' warrior won and put up his dagger at the opponents throat and said.....accept Islam or you die.
Further the story narrates that the opponent spat on the face of the Prophet' warrior. The warrior felt hate for the person and for that reason he freed him, because it was not a personal fight but a fight for principals.
OK....what a nice tale...but it is not known if the Prophet objected to the words...........accept Islam or you die.

^ As the subject matter seems to be very close to your heart I am sure you must have done some objective research therefore can you please also give us the total numebr of hindus in Pakistan and how many were forcibly converted, what percentage 10%, 20% or more. Please when quoting figures use some credible source and not Indian sites.
^2.7 million Hindus in Pakistan, and I highly doubt they r happening regularly despite what the Hindu leaders will tell you, why don't the people who were forced come out and say they were, not their parents or local leaders. Any forced conversion is null and void.
The numbers don't matter as much as the fact that all the claims of minority rights being safe in Pak are a hogwash. Hindus don't convert the minorities to Hinduism in India:)
