Re: Forbidden Fruit - Have you indulged?
Same @Deeba1234 ^
And the indulging I did was where I got to know my now-fiance and developed feelings for him when my parents had told me I was supposed to marry some cousin. Of course I was against this cousin marriage business and never had feelings for him. Ever (I used to call him bhai before it happened
), so that’s where my now-fiance came in the picture. It’s perfect in every possible way and I never had guilt or anything about it because I never had feelings for this bhai cousin and had been telling my parents since day 1 that is was NEVER going to happen.
But it worked out amazing, so yay!
Re: Forbidden Fruit - Have you indulged?
^Isn’t it the most amazing feeling to be with someone you feel is your real soulmate
I could never settle for a guy just because he was ‘nice’ and would ‘make a good husband’..
Re: Forbidden Fruit - Have you indulged?
sounds horrible but def been tempted by a doctor that I work with. Hot and smart and super nice and...oh yeah, married with 2 kids. It's the most irrational thing ever but I can't stop getting all hot and bothered. Never acted upon it, in fact I try to make sure that we don't work together very much. Swear I'm not a homewrecker!
Re: Forbidden Fruit - Have you indulged?
YESYESYESYES.
It’s the best feeling in the world. See, times like these I just want to add that parents dont ALWAYS know what’s best, esp. when it involves marriage.
Re: Forbidden Fruit - Have you indulged?
I had a banana for breakfast :D
Re: Forbidden Fruit - Have you indulged?
I don't think liking a celebrity is considered forbidden fruit. That's unreachable fruit :D.
Re: Forbidden Fruit - Have you indulged?
Reminds me of my first experience with dragon fruit...
Re: Forbidden Fruit - Have you indulged?
there's a reason they are forbidden, why go against what one's own religion says and then get the forbidden person to fall in love with you and then selfishly expect them to convert and change their whole selves/their beliefs. they'll convert b/c they give love the highest importance......but it's best not to tempt that forbidden fruit in the first place. abide by the laws of one's religion right from the beginning, completely and fully, why pick and choose what laws one follows and then at the end remember one's religion.
:p
Re: Forbidden Fruit - Have you indulged?
Now I know what you have been up to! Good to see you back GIDSY-BIDSY!!
NO forbidden fruits for me though. A small crush on a married man, but I swear that’s it!
Re: Forbidden Fruit - Have you indulged?

Re: Forbidden Fruit - Have you indulged?
yeah, my two male teachers, both of them were pervs. One of them even held my hands and said he loves me, but I never fell for them because I knew they were pervs.
Re: Forbidden Fruit - Have you indulged?
they are natural n all but one shouldnt let them run wild
Zareen, it depends upon a person's definition of attraction and lust. For some...the word "lust" is used in a more lax way and is synonymous with attraction. For others...they associate "lust" with sexual feelings...which is maybe how you see it. People's perceptions vary.
You may find Salman Khan very very attractive....you might have fantasies of having a cup of chai with him...or being opposite him in a movie...or even of marrying him. And some might see that as lusting after him.
We're all human....and the way I see it....Allah created feelings of attraction/lust within us just as He created anger, jealousy, etc. They're natural...the important thing is to exercise them within the limits Allah has set. But I don't see anything wrong in admitting it. I've lusted after Aamir Khan for a long time...now I find him annoying, lol.
Re: Forbidden Fruit - Have you indulged?
Forbidden fruit? The closest I can think of is sampling grapes at the grocery store, which I didn't technically pay for.

You've over simplified it and made it sound like feelings can be switched on and off just like that.. I don't think you can 'get' someone to fall in love with you (usually) and when it comes to religion not all of us do expect or even ask our other halves to convert.. I never did..
Regarding 'picking and choosing' when it comes to Islam 90% of us don't wear hijab, doesn't mean we shouldn't or can't do what we feel ready or comfortable with - for now.. If it was all or nothing then hardly anyone would be a real Muslim..
