its implied that the guy needs to be physically attracted to her.
most men can easily find average/ok looking women physically attractive.
women dont have to be hot/gorgeous in order to attract men physically/sexually.
was there some other thing you were referring to when you said "being something else to the table" ?

affairs dont require too much effort or emotional investment.

when you mentioned “something else on the table” i initially though you meant ‘sex’ given the pathetically low expectations of most men of their sex lives, I wouldnt be surprised if a young man considered sex to be ‘something else on the table’…a privilege.
but I also thought you meant she has to be hot / gorgeous. ie bring stunning good looks on the table. (which isnt true for most men as avg looking women can easily and effortlessly find young men to have affairs with)
