How do you get through a normal day during Ramzan? Do you just go through it as if it’s another day and forget that it’s Ramadan, or are conscious of it, even while eating? Do you try to be considerate of those around you, esp if you’re with friends/family who are fasting or just don’t care?
I was with a friend, who wasn’t fasting (for a good reason) but they were being very selfish and just rude about it, like kept eating and eating while saying “i dont care, I’m hungry.” It was only an hour til iftari, of course i was starving/thirsty and I thought it was VERY rude to do that. They pointed out what should I do when i c others eating and I replied that it’s not the same, if strangers how dont know me are eating, how is that their fault? But when someone is purposely eating in front of you just to annoy you, its more a matter of consideration and selfishness than just eating. It doesn’t make me angry, it just makes the other person look like a total ass. That’s all.

What say you all?
People who talk in that tone, I don't keep them close to my heart.
It's never bothered me to see people eat in front of me while I'm fasting. So I just wouldn't make much of it (assuming the person had a valid reason for not fasting etc.).
I skipped a fast because I was sick for a few days and was not getting any better by taking medicine only twice a day, I had to take it every 4 hours. This was when I was visiting NY last week and I tried not to eat (medicine must be taken with non-empty stomach) in front of my wife but she was with me pretty much all the time. However, I didn't eat as much as I would eat during regular days so I WAS conscious.
Very conscious. Unless the other person really tells you that it's okay if you eat in front of them and they sound like they mean it, not just the formal "no it's k...you can eat". At the end of the day it really depends on a person. Some non-muslim friends I have avoid eating infront of me when they know I am fasting and when they do eat..it's after asking a 100 times and later apologizing.
I don't fast a lot and I don't eat much either. I have to, have to.. have to drink water throughout the day. If I know someone around me is fasting, I usually ask first or just leave the place.
