I beg to differ, I know people including myself who have lived on less than 30K..its enough for a single person or a couple with no kids, but it’s still a good starting point.

I was saying most of us here, the lifestyles that a lot of are accustomed to doesn’t fit in 30K. Savings, luxuries, social life, comfort tales a toll. Everyone can prolly survive, even the ones unemployed but it throws away the lifestyle.

Only if all desi men are so painfully shallow?

I dont know how that would make me shallow? I mean I’d be earning a six figure myself to live the life I want, based on the education, skill-set that is expected of me. I dont think there’s anything shallow about yearning to make a decent earning
