wouldn’t it depend on the cost of living in whichever state you live in? for instance the cost of living in a place like los angeles is significantly higher than the cost of living in say a place like little rock, arkansas. any dollar amount that allows for comfortable living without worrying whether they can make the rent or the mortage payments on time while trying to put food on the table. financial security
