For indian guppies(hindu religion).

Muslims are a real joke. They want to live in India as per their shria and funny quranite laws. They make hue and cry over Shah Bano case.

But when a Muslim is tried in Indian court for some theft, he does not demand to be punished as per quranite fatwas that is to cut down his body parts.

If they are so mad and sensitive after their religion they must demand punishment for them as per quran, shria……and so in a secular state.

I definitely feel that as Cow is a symbol of Hindu belief, any desceration of it is an affront to the Hindu religious beliefs. Though Beef lovers can get Beef, it is still not on display like other meat. That's a way of co-existence of the communities. Hindu owned shops do not openly sell Pork. If you need to have a peaceful atmosphere in the country, we need to respect others feelings.

Cow slaughter is not banned. Its just that people need to take licenses. In most of the states its freely available.

Infect we muslim love to eat it and call it Madr-e-Advani ( Advani’s Mother)

well indian muslims never said they dont want punishment according to the islamic law
well the reason why muslims are so sensitive over this subject is that they belive that its a matter of thier islamic identity which they want to preserve. other wise you can rarely find a case these days where a muslim man has more than one wife.

well indian muslims never said they dont want punishment according to the islamic law<<
Here Ye Indian Muslims!!

Then how come Indian Muslims NEVER EVER talk about Sharia Punishment for criminal offenses like thievery?
Don’t give me the argument about Marriages and traditions being your heritage. Remember Islam is complete in itself. It is a ‘Deen’. So you can’t follow it selectively

A speedy answer will be appreciated. How come so much noise is made about Salman Rushdie and Shah Bano. Why this insistence on Sharia for ‘Civil’ matters and NOT ‘Criminal’ matters?
andha_qanoon bhai keep out of this please!!
I want our dear Pakistani Bombayite friend Kabir to answer this one

pork is a "rare" species, and almost no one wants to eat it so its not "publicly" available.

beef is NOT a "rare" species in India, it is smuggled in large quantity into Pakistan during "baqra-Eid".... is the difference clearer?

Thanks bro Kabir, but is it not "banned" in any part of India or some? may be the ban is from public, the Hindu fanatics locally.

, i hear the same rhetoric from all indians that beef is available, it may in some places but not cow’s beef in most places I visited in late 80,s.
All I ate was buffalo beef or goat and lamb and of course masala dosa

http://www3.pak.org/gupshup/smilies/biggrin.gif

didn’t u try pork…as Cow’s beef was not available…that’s tasty too…ymmm

it’s not unusual that you can’t get cow’s beef everywhere in india as you know 80% of indians are hindu…its the same as not getting pork everywhere in pakistan…
and i won’t be surprised if i visit pakistan don’t get pork to eat..
its as simple as that…
so use your knees and think about it this way…

Well, the question was addressed to Indians, and Indians immediately bring Pakistan in the discussion without using their minds as to what this is all about.

India claims to be a secular state, and someone raised any objection that proves India is not truely secular (in this case the banning of cow meat).

The Hinduvatyas over here replied by saying that pork was banned in Pakistan. May I remind you that Pakistan claims its an Islamic country and not a secular country unlike India, so this comparison is of no relevance. The question was, why does India ban beef while it claims to be SECULAR, and it cant be answered by saying Pakistan banned pork, so Indias stand is vindicated. Had Pakistan been a secular state and had banned pork, then I agree it would have been right to raise objections.

And on a personal note, Islam is right when it tells us not to eat pork and consume Alcohol. Pork has been medically proven to be bad for skin. As for alcohol; one can do shameful things under its influences and not know about it the next day

http://www3.pak.org/gupshup/smilies/frown.gif

Beef on the other hand has no such adverse affects.

On a personal note, a pig is a despicable creature.

Spock,

You do not know us. We Indians can easily change any topic and throw it in your court. It is non sense of your people that fell in our trap easily. In fact we always made fool of you people.

Best rgds

good job Spock, I was gonna write on similar lines until I saw it had already been spoken.
Besides Jews have even stricter dietary restrictions than Muslims. If there is one food i’ll trust to be clean is that of orthodox Jews and their kosher food.

Thats why it is said eat at a jews house but sleep at a christian’s house…(since jews have been quite backstabbers)

india is truly secular when it comes to
muslim personel law. marriage divorce and inheritense there is separate laws.
even in the west there is no separate laws
for each religen.

excuse me guys, pardon my ignorance, tell me what is the real sense of Secularism???

and in which countries, it is practiced???

thank you..

.::. FlameZz of Love .::.

no indian with common sense will say india
is only for one religen or ethnic group.
that may not true for pakistan because of one dominant ethinic and religious group.
secularism and democracy is necesscity in india cant survive without it.
