Pakistan is a strange country, benefit of doubt is accorded to those who have provided us a nightmarish tenure of five years and those are held responsible who have never had a chance to rule the country.

If an analysis of the issue has to be done, I believe it should be a wholesome analysis and not a one dimensional picture.

As a Pakistani I do want the situation of the other three provinces to be improved, I do want ALL Pakistanis to be accorded an equal status within the framework of the country. But we do need to ask us just one question, did these issues arise over night? If the answer is no, we do have a right to ask the previous government what steps they took to curb the terrorism menace from the country.

not fair Ali…no one is saying that we shd not question PPP’s or ANP or MQM performance but i am having a separate discussion

anyway, i think i have already stated my viewpoint…you are blaming those parties who have at least done “something” against taliban…that is the point…enough or not enough is a separate topic as it is hard to decide… but we all know that ANP is trying to fight terrorism situation and talibanism in NWFP… half of their leadership is dead in bomb attacks…PPP/MQM can be blamed for many things they are not exactly taliban lovers either..and that is why they are being targeted by talibans and from that perspective they need a broadbased political support not further isolationism

ironically one party who actually did protect or harbor terrorists/talibans is PMLN and no doubt it is not on the Taliban’s hit list…that sort of sums it up..s
