For Brides planning Lahore Wedding outside of Pakistan!

Re: For Brides planning Lahore Wedding outside of Pakistan!

Makeup:
I ended up using Alle Nora. As a Canadian going to a Pakistani parlour I was really surprised about the way things are done. For my barat it was a Saturday so prime time and day and there were at least 30+ brides there with me. I felt like I was on a converter belt being pushed from area to area, their was no personal touch or talking. They have NO mirrors in their final makeup room so you have no idea how you are looking. The makeup was nice and everyone liked it and it looked really good in the pics. But it was LOT of makeup, very different from Canadian style. I booked alle nora for both barat and valima and i had to pay 30,000 rupees for both days. The valima day experience at the parlour was a lot better. Their were only about 10 brides because it was on a Monday. But still no personal touch.

I did not visit any other parlour, did not have time and my cousins also liked Alle Nora so i only went their.

Photographer:
If price is not an issue than i would highly recommend Bhatti Photograhers. THEY WERE AMAZING but pricy. We paid 132,000 rupees. Which included 3 day event and studio shoot for each day and of course video coverage. I am very pleased with the video, very modern. The albums are the new modern style not the plastic sheet slots where pics are inserted. My pics were printed directly onto the album its a thick cardboard material kinda hard to explain. We had three meetings with them after the wedding first we picked our pics, second meeting showed the layout before going to print and showed the draft version of both the album and video and only after our approval sent it out for final print. So i was very pleased with the whole experience and would recommend them to everyone.

Now my disappointment with other photographers i visited.
Degrees (Guddu & Shani) – first of all their studio was in a house which seem to be the trend in pakistan. however it didnt look professional. Very strange layout and the office was not well established. It was over priced and a normal album cover nothing special. They are really overpriced espically since they use normal albums that everyone has at home.

Usman Jamshed - pricy, but work was nice. The problem i had with him was that my mom could not trust how reliable he was. When we got their it was a house, not well established studio. He is really young and he had young guys playing games in the next room. It felt very unprofessional.

Maram and Aabroo – called them 3-4 times, finally on the 4th try someone answered. She gave a very strict timing for coming into their studio so i did not have time to go.

Hiya - just an update - in your previous posts you had also mentioned "AFZL Studios" - we actually used them 10 years ago for our wedding photoshoot and then subsequently for our 3 daughters photoshoots etc. Unfortunatley, the standards have really become bad....lack of professionalism and will just make you run after them to get the pictures back...will defenitely not deliver on time and generally make false promises - it really is sad to see a good outfit going to the dogs!!! - I really would recommend not using them :(
