For Brides planning Lahore Wedding outside of Pakistan!

Hi everyone,

A couple of months ago i started my wedding planning and was overwhemled with a feeling of hopelessness because its sooo hard to plan a wedding in pakistan from overseas. But GupShup has been really helpful. So i figure i share some of the infor i have come accross. I will keep adding new infor to this thread for anyone interested in any info about weddings in lahore.

Hope its helpful!

Re: For Brides planning Lahore Wedding outside of Pakistan!

Below is info on wedding venues in Lahore that I had my fiance gather pics and info for me. We are booking PC for my baraat and Nadeem for my Mehandi and maybe Sapphire for my Valima, so i will give feedback on them after my wedding.

Nadeem Lawn There rates of course depend on how many people u have and what you are looking for. Between 900-1200 per head plus stage decor is separate. But there food is the best I have heard, my fiance and his family have to still taste it but after Ramadan.
There website is: http://www.nadeems.net/main.php

Sapphire Hall charges are 800-900 per head and he said he will reduce so you can always get discounts. Stage decor is separate again 20,000-50,000.
There Website is: http://www.sapphirehall.com/index.php

Noor Jahan - i think they said 650-750 per head, it was kinda small in size for us.

Mughal-e-azam - there rate is pretty much the same 700-800. The basement level aviod, its small and only for 150 people and round tables can not be used.
There website is:http://www.mughaleazambanquet.com/

Zoqi and Zoqi is an event planner and decor providers. They are like Nadeem and provide catering, tents, and decor. They have a plot in Modeltown that they rent out for events. Price is pretty much the same as Nadeem 800-1100.
There website is http://www.zoqi.com/index.htm

Liberty Castle he didnt visit, because they told us on the phone that they only provide dinner sevices to parties that have more than 400 people. Weddings less than 400 people they said are only offered Lunch services, i’ve never been to a mid-day desi wedding so that obtion was out. There rate was 950-1000 per head.
There website is: http://www.libertycastle.com.pk/

Qasr-e-noor My fiance visited but he said that they have one long room that they divide with walls. The man said that no noise from the other halls would be heard. But the room size he offered for 200 people is very very small, and he said that we would have to pay additional 25,000 if you wanted to remove one wall to make the room bigger. The rate per head was i think 650-750 not higher than 800.

**PC **there rate is 1200-1300 per head with all the taxes and round table and drinks. Decor is separate.
There website is: http://www.pchotels.com/PCHL/meetings.php

Avari Hotel He gave me the same rate as PC so 1200-1300.
there website is http://www.avari.com/hotel-avarilahore.html

**Royal Plam Golf and Country club **Same rate 1200-1300.
there website is Royal Plam Golf & Country Club | Lahore - Pakistan - Home

Glad to help,

I have info on Parlours and Wedding planners. I’ll add them tonight, for some reason the uploading obtion doesnt work for me at work, so i’ll add the info and pics tonight.

Re: For Brides planning Lahore Wedding outside of Pakistan!

Thanks Fari :hugz:

Re: For Brides planning Lahore Wedding outside of Pakistan!

Nice effort, fari! I hope you keep posting. :)

Re: For Brides planning Lahore Wedding outside of Pakistan!

PC's food is really bad...BUT its not a bad venue if a hassle free wedding is your priority.

Re: For Brides planning Lahore Wedding outside of Pakistan!

thanks so much fari! i, too, would like to hear info on parlors :)

sorry i just been busy with work and havent had time to gather all the info...will do it tonight.

About PC's food being bad...i was worried about that too because that was all i read about on Gupshup...but i have family and friends who have been to functions there who say the food was good...my friend was recently in pakistan and attended a wedding there and said the food was good....so maybe its under new management and the food has gotten better.....hopefully :)

makeup bit is sooo confusing:(

Re: For Brides planning Lahore Wedding outside of Pakistan!

thanks for sharing this!

Re: For Brides planning Lahore Wedding outside of Pakistan!

I think the choice is pretty easy in Lahore regarding makeup.

Re: For Brides planning Lahore Wedding outside of Pakistan!

nop it isn't coz da seasoned ones hav lost their touch n u can't just tak a chance with the upcomin ones. Madeehaz base cracks up n has major eyelash issue+ shahzad chittofyes the bride, is crazy expensive n a risk if ur colour isn't blue... allenora is always da same look without loookin at the features of da bride. sigh!

allenora?

Re: For Brides planning Lahore Wedding outside of Pakistan!

Here are some pics that my fiance took for me of the halls. Websites can have old pics so i wanted to see the current conditions of the halls.

Nadeem - the tent pics are from his website. Not a big fan of the gray table setting and chairs but Fiance said they has a book that i can choose different decor.

Re: For Brides planning Lahore Wedding outside of Pakistan!

this is excellent fari. Iam getting married next year InshAllah, but in Islamabad. I will be using Usman Jamshed for photography because I think he is brilliant (although a little pricey!).

It would be soooo good if you could do this for Islamabad... :)
Also, do you know of any good wedding planners/decorators?

Thanks

Unfortunately i dont have info on Islamabad im not from pakistan and my wedding is in lahore so thats why i've had to look up info on lahore... but i know on Gupshup there is alot of info.

I will post info on planners/decorators/parlours soon....im at work right now...so i'll post throughout the day as i get chances.

ok thanks
