Would you eat it or not?
If it was cooked at 300 degree heat, the alcohol is probably going to evaporate anyway.
Would you abstain from it altogether or go on a case by case basis, evaluating the cooking process.

Re: Food with alcohol as an ingredient
regular bread dough has some alcohol in it from fermentation, just before it gets baked. just sayin..
A standard glass of Orange juice contains 0.2 to 0.5% alcohol. ![]()
No wonder I feel tun every morning
Food with alcohol as an ingredient
As a sports person I used to take Gatorade a lot. Then I came to know that there is 0.5% alcohol mixed up but then it’s given high temperature so most likely it loses it’s effect and that’s wut a local cleric agreed upon too. Still I switched to powerade but may take it if there is no other choice
People underestimate how long it takes to burn alcohol off. So if that’s the rationale, you should be careful.
Me, no such concerns, but then again,I am ghunda badmash man
…and najis too
So if after heating the final content of alcohol is 0.5% then it’s okay versus
final alcohol content of 0.5% which has not been heated.
Re: Food with alcohol as an ingredient
I didn’t feel anything after I had that beer battered fish. I’m assuming all the alcohol evaporated. Besides that beer didn’t have much alcohol to begin with. My guess would be under 10%. And I didn’t out for a drive either, so perfectly safe.
Varies by amount of alcohol, type of cooking, heat and duration of cooking. As I said, if your logic is that when it’s burned away the food is okay to eat then you should know how likely it is to have been burned away right?
Re: Food with alcohol as an ingredient
I don’t really have any logic. I just ate it cause everybody else was eating it.

Re: Food with alcohol as an ingredient
Yes. It did.
The idea is to avoid intoxication. There’s nothing inherently evil about -OH and lots of common ingredients probably have some measure of alcohol in them.
…and najis too
